What Is The Best Tv/monitor For Gaming

What is the best TV/Monitor for gaming?

I regret to inform you, but the best tv for you is the Panasonic S60. Smallest size it comes in is 50". It is also Smart, but in the most basic sense. Also it goes for $700. Here are the reasons why it is the best for you:

The picture quality is absolutely phenomenal (worth much more than what you pay, and is much cheaper than any other tv of its caliber in this price range); its picture quality gets even better in a bedroom (since they are usually dim). It does not suffer from motion-blur which LEDs and LCDs do suffer from. Finally it has very little game-play lag. The only tv that has even less lag is the Sony W900a or W802a which go close to $2,000 or more. Yes it is 1080p as well. Luckily, it does not have 3D. Also, a 50" tv is actually perfect for a typical bedroom layout.

For anything cheaper or smaller, there is no better option. Because they will either look very poorly in a bedroom, not have full 1080p, cost more, be too small, have a lot of lag, or have a just plain crappy picture. What is the best gaming monitor?

I am looking for the absolute best gaming monitor overall. when i say overall I mean, when you are trying to decide, think about what is most important for gaming. such as refresh rate, and response time. As far as money goes, don't worry about it just give me your opinion. By the way i am looking for a monitor in the size range of 24-25. 27 is just to big for gaming in my opinion.

What monitor is best for gaming?

I'm going from a 24" Samsung 60 hz (syncmaster s24b300) to a 27". I have narrowed it down to 2 different Asus models. I'm hoping someone will know which one would be better for gaming and movies too.
The first one is the ASUS VG278HE 27-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor 144hz 1ms.
The other one is ASUS PB278Q 27-Inch WQHD LED-lit Professional Graphics Monitor 2560 x 1440 res.
The first one is only 1080p but is 144 hz and the second one is 2560 x 1440 but at 60 hz.
I have an EVGA GTX 670 graphics card. I have done some research and I get conflicting reports.
I read somewhere that you need 3 gigs of vram for 2560 x 1440, My card has 2 gigs but have read by more than one person that the 670 will do it.
I know the second monitor will have a better picture but will I get the performance with my card?
btw, I will be upgrading to the gtx 880 when it comes out.

Thank you

Best monitor/led tv for ps4 gaming and pc?

I think 27 inch is the perfect size since it is for both pc and console. You should go with something like ViewSonic VX2770SMH.

http://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VX2370SM...

It is 27 inch and has 1920 x 1080p and it is 120hz. It has 1 hdmi slot for your ps4 :D. And it has gaming mode. Viewsonic brand is really reputable and they have good review.

It has a built in speaker but since it has an external audio input, if you have a surround speaker you can easily plug in. Hope my answer helped!!

TV vs. Monitor for gaming?

I have a playstation 4 and I play a lot of fps games mostly Call of Duty and I was wondering if it's worth it to buy a monitor for gaming and if response time really makes a big difference. I play ps4 a lot and I really take gaming seriously. I currently have a Samsung 32" HDTV thats 60hz with an 8.5ms response time. I was looking into getting a 24" Asus monitor that's 144hz with a 1ms response time. Do you recommend that I buy a monitor for gaming or do you you think my TV is good enough?

What is the best-sized monitor for gaming?

The "best-sized" monitor is really a question of three parts: viewing distance, resolution, and size. How far away from this monitor do you intend to sit? For most people, this figure is < 3ft, because most desks are less than 3ft deep. You should use the distance between you and your monitor to determine the resolution and size, which we'll refer to as pixel density (pixels / inches). For instance, a 24" 1080p monitor has 92 pixels per inch (PPI). Unfortunately, most gaming monitors (including the 24" 1080p) have a pixel density that is too low for the average viewing distance. Look at this table of pixel densities: the pixel density of the average gaming monitor is only suitable for someone viewing it almost 6ft away! So the best that you can do right now is about a 2160p (3840x2160) 24" monitor, which has a PPI of 185, which is at least in the neighborhood of ideal pixel density for most peoples' viewing distance.Use this DPI calculator to determine the pixel density of any monitor you are considering: https://www.sven.de/dpi/

Best gaming tv for ps4?

Things you need to know about PS4

1080p is the max it'll ever go, counting on whether or not devs understand the architecture for it.
the larger your TV the more blocky and chunky your game will look because its stretched out more.
Looking at it now, it can barely run 30 fps and I dont see much 60 fps, so you'll end up with screen tearing (when you can see half of one frame and the other frame before it)

If you can spend $4000, i'd recommend building a computer for like 2000$ and use the rest on like a nice monitor, keyboard, etc. because a good PC will look way better than anything the PS4 can cough up.
[Newegg, TekSyndicate, LinusTechTips, and ibuypower are good places to look]

If you just want a giant TV and the PS4 is a bonus, here's some tech jargon you might need

Hz = Hertz = Native screen refresh time(similar to frames per second), and tv's are built with tech that can make things look smoother than the original content. Typically screens nowadays go to 120 Hz but get at least 60 Hz
[Don't believe the lie that "humans can only see in 24 fps MAX" because 24 fps is just how movies are recorded and that's just the bare minimum before audio desync and film choppiness occurs]

OLED vs LCD
OLED= Organic Light emitting diode = More expensive but have much more dynamic color range
LCD = Liquid Crystal Display = Pretty much what you see on normal tv shelves

For sound, get an actual Sound system because built in speakers wont compare to something like 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound

5.1 vs 7.1
The first number means the amount of speakers around you making the noise
the ".1" represents an extra subwoofer that is used for specific noises
