My fiance and I are debating the fastest way to finish our wedding invitations. Right now we have the RSVP cards with the return labels on them but they need stamps. We have also put all the labels on the out side envelopes but they need stamped and sealed. I say we finish each invitation completely before moving to the next one by: 1. Put the stamp on the RSVP card 2. Put everything in the envelope 3. Seal the envelope 4. Put the stamp on the envelope. 5. Move on to the next invitation. He says to do them all separately like: 1. Put the stamp on all the RSVP cards and put everything in the envelopes 2. Seal all of the envelopes 3. Put the stamp on the envelopes Which will be faster?

First, don't take the stamps off the pages. If you don't know what you are doing you can destroy any value the stamps might have. You can easily scalp the stamps without experience. Scalping is tearing loose part of the paper on the back of the stamp and it can happen very easily. Many collectors won't want just the loose stamps, they have more value being in the book, no matter what kind or shape it is in. My cousin is an avid collector and no one in his group will buy a stamp collection if it isn't in a book unless all of the loose stamps are in glassine envelopes (a special kind of paper) and catalogued. Contact a stamp and coin shop in your area and ask them who they would suggest to look at the book and see if it does have any value. It may or may not and if it doesn't, then it might be worthwhile just to put it aside and save for future generations as a family momento. Be wary of trying to sell it online or on craigs list because you just might have stamps that are rare and can let it go for zilch because people will tell you it's worthless just to get it. Many people think stamp collecting is worthless, but my last collection that was stolen was valued at many thousands of dollars and I didn't have that many rare ones. If you absolutely are not into collecting, you might donate it to a kids club so some member might be able to start their lifelong love of collecting stamps. I've done that with 2 collections I've gotten at auctions and you can take a tax write off for it too, so can make some money that way. You have many choices so hope you make the one that's best for you.

Update:Processing times mentioned below were at the time of writing i.e. mid 2016. Since then as a whole average processing time has slowed down slightly i.e. majority takes 6 to 8 months and fewer exceptional cases have been heard.Assuming you have a reason to get ITA (invite to apply for PR) the next day you submit profile (Higher points etc.), there have been people who got Passport request in 6 or so days of submitting application. Add the COPR receiving time and I think some might have completed the process in 15 days or so.However, the above is EXTREMELY rare case, very clear cut profile, young aged single applicant with few details for CIC to process and even then often some body who for instance applied previously and was refused due to cap and might already have some aspects pre evaluated with CIC.In a normal (FAST) case, after getting ITA and submitting profile, it might take 3 months to get passport request and another 15 days till landing.Usually this happens with majority of CEC applicants and few FSW applicants from selected countries.Average case across all PR programs still take around 6 months or more recently - another month.In the worst case, I have seen people in express entry who are still waiting after spending 13–14 months or so
