What Is The Cheapest Transportation In Tokyo

What is the cheapest train ticket from Tokyo to Kyoto?

Well, there are tickets…. and then there are tickets. What kind of train are you thinking of using? If just express trains, you could make the trip for only ¥8210. Hope you have some thick books for the 8½ hour ride and 4+ transfers. If you want to take limited express trains, then you could cut that trip down to about 6 hours and pay about ¥9550 with a better connection. Although honestly you might as well fly on a low cost carrier for about half price and get there in 1 hour, or just over 3 including the connecting bus/trains to/from the airports. The cheapest bullet train is the Platt Kodama Ticket. Takes about 3¾ hours and costs ¥10,300. You must buy the ticket at least one day prior.

What is the cheapest way to travel around Tokyo?

3 of us are planning a trip to Tokyo this end Feb – March, about a 10+ day stay. I found out about the JR pass, and certain day passes such as Tokunai Pass (http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/pass/tokunai_p... is it value for money, or would it be cheaper to just buy one-trip tickets (or any other alternative)? The Tokunai pass costs 730/adult per day. We intend to visit 2-3 places per day…for eg Tsukiji Market in the morning, followed by a popular place nearby, and perhaps visit another place later in the evening, before going back to our hotel. (we have not decided where to lodge at, but Asakusa is one of our considerations)

This being our first time in Tokyo, we would of course be travelling to the more popular tourist areas like Shinjuku, Roppongi, Harajuku, Asakusa etc. The places covered by the Tokunai Pass seem to fit the Places of Interest (POI) that we intend to visit. Of course, some places are not covered…those living in Tokyo, could you help?? :D

I’m also wondering if buses are cheaper? But of course us being unfamiliar with Japan…it would probably not be advisable to take buses.

I can read kana and some kanji (I’m Chinese, so I would recognize most kanji, but in a Chinese way of course, except for those I’d already learnt for JLPT4), whereas the other two can’t.

How to get to Osaka from Sheraton grande Tokyo bay hotel in the disney resort ?

First of all, I will assume you already know how to get to and book the Sheraton Grande and the only concern that you have is about getting from there to Osaka. Now, from that hotel, either walk or take a taxi to the Maihama Train Station. (You may want to go with taxi if you're unfamiliar with the area) If you have absolutely no idea how trains work in Japan, then contact me at o.miyawaki@gmail.com I can provide further info about that. Buy a ticket that is eligible to go to the Tokyo Train Station, and don't forget to ride on the train going to the right direction. Once you're at the Tokyo train station, look for the word, Shinkansen (bullet train) which will take you to the major cities across Japan. The train station is EXTREMELY crowded so don't get yourself lost. Now, you want to look for the Tokaido Shinkansen, which is the only shinkansen that will take you to Osaka. Buy a ticket to go to Osaka, and ride the Shinkansen, get off at the Osaka station and do whatever you need to do there.
Again if my explanation was too brief or unclear then question me at o.miyawaki@gmail.com

What is the cheapest way to go from Osaka to Tokyo?

You could walk (but the cost of shoes or medical bills could end up costing more than other methods) or get someone else to pay for you to travel. You could share a ride with someone, but would probably have to pay part of the highway tolls and petrol cost.Apart from the above, the cheapest way will definitely be by bus. i’ve heard that you can do it for as cheap as Yen 2,000, but that the cheapest moderately comfortable fare would be Y2,900. Still crazily cheap, considering the distance. Willer Express has tickets available as follows:Sakai sta. west exit (20:50 departure)(Osaka)WBT Umeda (21:40 arrival and departure)(Tokyo)Ikebukuro sta ((Next day)06:20 arrival)At Yen 3,200.

Taking the train from Tokyo to Misawa...?

You understand that a trip from Narita International Airport to Misawa will require you to take 3 different trains and the trip will be roughly 5 hours or so hours.

The route would be:

Since Narita Airport isn't in Tokyo you have to make you way into Tokyo first.

Since it is a long trip and considering you're coming off a 13 or so our international flight here's a fast route:

1. Take the JR Narita Express from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station.
-Walk from the basement of Tokyo Station to the upper floors to transfer to the Shinkansen-
2. Change to the Shinkansen "Hayate" to Hachinohe Station.
-Transfer from the Shinkansen to the regular train platforms-
3. Change to the Tohoku Line to Misawa Station.
-Make your way from Misawa Station to your final destination.

You can make the reservation at Narita Airport JR train station, you'll need to tell them you're traveling from Narita Airport to Misawa, and then in specific tell them you need a Narita Express reservation to Tokyo, then a Shinkansen reservation to Hachinohe from Tokyo, then you can change to a local Tohoku line train from Hachinohe to Misawa (this train is a non reserved train).

There is a reserved train from Hachinohe to Misawa, but its a 13 minute ride, why pay more when the regular train only takes 5 minutes longer.

The "Travel Service Center" inside Narita Airport basement train station should be able to assist you as well.

There are two train companies inside Narita Airport "Keisei Railways" and "JR-Japan Railways" , go to the "JR" part, it will be signposted.

Totally the price is about 18000 yen.

Hyperdia will give you routes more complicated then it has to be for you.
Going from NRT-Tokyo-Hachinohe-Misawa is the easiest route with shortest amount of transfers
-----
I agree if you find a comparable price JAL flies domestic from Haneda Airport to Misawa Airport. You just have to make your way from Narita Airport to Haneda Airport, which is easy by a direct bus connection (1.5 hour travel time approx) from NRT-HND

Narika Airport into Tokyo City?

I think there is something you still don't know.

You said you would go to Osaka. But if you go to Osaka, you would need to land on Kansai International Airport.

And Narita Airport is an airport for Tokyo. If you land on Narita, you can easily go to Tokyo by train or bus.

Do you go to Osaka, or Tokyo?

Addition:
If you want to go from Narita to Tokyo at cheap cost, you take Keisei train.

http://www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/k...

Please do not take Skyliner train as you have to pay extra fare for that train. You take limited express train.
