What Is The Cost For 90000 Kilometer Service For Vw Polo Tdi In India

What is the average annual cost of servicing a vw polo in India?

VW service schedule for Diesel variant is Pre-Service at 7,500 km. only oil top-up and setting will cost you around Rs. 150o.First Service is at 15,000 km (or one year)will cost you around Rs. 8,500 to 10,000.Second service is at 30,000 Km (or 2 years) will also cost similar in range of first.Hope it is helpful. But break down maintenance cost is very high compared to other vehicles.

Is it true that the service cost of Volkswagen Polo in India is too high? Also, is it true that the DSG transmission on the Polo GT is faulty and unreliable? I'm talking about the petrol model in both my questions.

Not only Volkswagen but almost all cars are nearly 300% higher than the international price. Honda Accord, which is just around 20K USD, around 14 lakh INR in US is being sold for nearly 40 lakh INR. Again in US it is nearly 5 year unlimited mileage warranty, here it is 30000 km or one year whichever comes first.Excise duty, state GST, Central GST, greed of manufacturers, sales network adds-up to this 300%+ huge looting. As far as government is concerned it is more about how much they get their cut diplomatically in the name of tax. There is no price or quality regulation exists to care and protect the citizens though we have tons of authorities and departments at the huge cost of hard earned tax payers money. In a country where accidents kills several thousands of people on daily basis due to pathetic bad roads, poor infrastructure, corrupt authorities and instead of fixing these issues, government and court jokingly shows their love for citizens and their safety by making helmet mandatory increasing its sales instead of doing its job of providing safe infrastructure including road.So the problem of 300% jacked up atrocious pricing of cars and its spares do one think they have a place to complain? Every honest citizens are left to the mercy of looters and corrupts is the bitter truth and reality.

I'm planning to buy a VW polo. How costly is it to own a polo in india compared to other brands? What really does a car maintenance mean?

1)Maintainace means changing all the filters in the car, changing oil, topping up other fluids and inspecting car for any other problems.I will give a comparison between maruti baleno/swift and vw polo maintainace cost for 50000 km.Baleno with mineral oil:- 23000 rsBaleno with fully synthetic oil :- 33000 rsPolo with fully synthetic oil:- 29000 rsVolkswagen only allow synthetic oil to be used in its car. Baleno have 6month/10000km service interval polo have 1year/15000 km service interval. So you will spend less time in service center if you buy polo.2) Wear and Tear, repair cost.Break pad, clutch, rotors, suspension are wear and tear parts. Both cars have same price for all the part except clutch in diesel polo because diesel polo have almost double torque than baleno so it requires better clutch than baleno. But there is one catch. Lets say price of both cars disc pad is same but quality of polos disc pad is much better than baleno. For me disc pad lasted for 85000 km. But in maruti dont expect that it will last for 50000km. Same goes for other wear and tear part.Accidental repair cost of polo is little higher than baleno but polo have very good build quality so for same type of accident baleno will damage more than polo. So baleno will get more bill than polo.3) Engine :- vw diesel engines are made to last for ages. You can check in market that octavia can do 5 lack km without any work done on engine. Same goes for polo. I have seen 3 lack km driven polo/vento/rapid which have only done normal maintanace. But in case of maruti, hyundai, honda you will face lot of problem after 1 lack km.4) warrenty:- no one offer better warrenty than volkswagen.5) safety:- volkswagen group is leader when it comes to safety. I will share one picture in which baleno have crashed with jetta. You can see what is build wuality means. And how cheap is marutis build quality.Image source:- team-bhp.comAs per my experience volkswagen polo, vento skoda rapid ( these are same cars) have lowest maintenance cost in long term use. These cars are best in handling, safety, quality in their segments.

How long do Volkswagen Polo cars stay in good running condition for? Does it have a warranty?

For sure! I have a Polo Highline Diesel 2012 model with the 2 years plus an additional 2 years warranty and I will complete 4 years with the car in July 2016.So far, other than the regular services I have not had to visit the service station for any other normal running problems. Please note that the service interval is 15000kms or a year whichever arrives sooner.I have completed about 57000kms and my fourth service is due in the next 3000kms. The service costs have averaged a little less than Rs. 12,000 per service. When you consider the fact that most cars require servicing at 5000kms and cost about Rs. 5,000, it amounts to a saving of Rs. 3,000 per year. One concern I have with the long interval between services is that when the car is almost due for service, (say 2000 to 3000kms away from service) I have noticed a lag in the performance of the engine.Regarding, the condition of the car it is in the best shape it could be in regarding the distance and roads traversed. I hail from Coorg, Karnataka and the roads there are atrocious. I currently live in Bombay and the roads aren’t any better. I have driven the car from Coorg to Bombay, travelled to Goa and a lot of other places around Bombay and I have remained confident that this car should be able to get me anywhere. The warranty unfortunately doesn’t cover consumables, plastics and other parts that are subject to wear and tear (brake pads, filters, etc.). Although this is the same for all cars in India. The dividers of the AC vent (the small plastic thingies used to change the direction of air flow) in the center of the dashboard is the only part in the car that has broken off. I enquired about the cost and VW service can only replace the whole unit which is not worth the price (about Rs. 5000).I changed my tires at 45000kms and that again is a considerable distance achieved.Overall, I must say I’m extremely satisfied with the car and the only regret I have is I didn’t wait a couple more months while purchasing the car. I would have then received the facelifted version with the newer lights, Bluetooth and steering controls. I blame VW sales for this since they didn’t bother to let me know about the new model.

What is the maintanance cost of Volkswagen Polo GT TDI?

Every sercice will cost you approx 10000 rs for 15000 km.Overall maintance cost will be 0.65 rs per km. Service wont ever cost single ruppe more than 10 k rs. Parts cost of polo is 30% higher than maruti hyundai but polo is 50% more capable than maruti hyundai. Part failure rate is half compared to lower brands. For example suspension of my cars are still good at 1.1 lakh km. Disc pad lasted for 86 k km. But for maruti i dont thing suspension will last more than 70000 km.Only one part of polo is super costly than other cars which is clutch it cost around 30 k to replace all parts in cluth while maruti will do it in 15 k rs (whole clutch assembly not clutch plate) reason behind it than polo have 50% more power than other cars and 70% more torque so to handle this much power clutch need to be costly. I never replaced clutch or any part except one disc pad for 1800 rs. Car still drive like new and much better than brand new maruti hyundai cars.

I'm planning on buying a VW Polo (Petrol). The only thing stopping me is the high maintenance costs involved. Should this single reason stop me or do I go ahead and purchase the car?

May be I can answer this.I used to be a huge fan of german machinery after all it is considered to be most durable, powerful and fabuluos in its own way. So I went ahead and bought a petrol polo. It is very comfortable to drive. Germans give you good engines thats what I believe. Rest competitors just try to compensate by giving you more & more features in their cars. So I went for polo in 2011. The car never stopped or you can say never let me down in terms of power, speed, pick up & rest all fields related to engine. After all it’s a sports car. But it has it’s cons. Germans don’t believe in repairing dents. so it doesn’t matter wether your car has a small or a big dent the company will change the whole part. And it is very costly. One door costs like 18000 bucks including 12000 for door dent so they put a new door 4000 for paint & 2000 labour and taxes. Maintainence & repairs too expensive. But then came this new problem this year. My steering started creating some sounds and it got stuck a few times. Went to a service centre they said that they obviously won’t repair so they have to put new steering column and rack. I said ok what is the cost? Estimate given to me was 80k-100k wow! I just couldn’t give an instant reply. I brought back my car searched for solutions in local markets. People whom i used to consider as experts in the local market went ahead disassembled the steering assembly but faced failure. Now because german parts are expensive and there sale is less no one in the market imports these parts. I lost. Once again I had to go back and spend 1 lakh on my car but this time I asked the reason that why these parts got damaged. (You will laugh at this) he told me this is because of road conditions in India. Then what do you mean by a strong durable car? Then I searched and found that people driving polo, vento, rapid all are facing this problem.I told you my experience you are wise enough to decide. Let me know if you need my help.

Is it very expensive to maintain a Volkswagen Polo?

Maintaining a Volkswagen Polo is expensive if you compare it with the maintenance of a Maruti car.The the reason for that is very simple, Volkswagen service centres have qualified mechanics (Unlike the Maruti service centres)The spare parts of Volkswagen cars are of high-quality materials so they are expensive when compared to the other brandsAnd that's the reason why the Volkswagen cars will stay with you for a longer time(2 -3 lakh kms)If you are still confused, after going through all the confusing online reviews & forums, then I will recommend you to have a look at Feedbayk App. It has real & verified car owners with whom you can chat & get all your queries clarified. Hope this helps.
