What Is The Definition Of Being Greedy Enough To Give

Humans tend to be selfish and greedy by nature. How can one understand the vicious greed cycle of human life?

It's impossible to understand life. And greed, it's like each one of us Is greedy. Greed has nothing to do with money. It's our take that we're only greedy for money. But in general we're greedy for everything. For instance, if you're receiving love and care, you won't be thankful and satisfied instead you'll desire more. You'll never feel content. That my friend is greed.Or if in case some one makes an applause for you, you will desire to have it more. You will be jealous if someone else also receive it, that my friend is greed too.Today, Ambani, is one of the richest man in India. And casually we say, he don't need anything, he has more than enough. But still he is greedy, greedy to be the richest person in the world.  So,greed is nothing, but a state of mind. There are these people, who walk in Himalayas, or so and leave behind everything. Aren't they greedy?  Yes they are. They are greedy not for money, but for peace, for something not materialistic. We all are greedy in our own ways.At times, we want to be the best, best chef, best singer, best dancer, or say whatever. Aren't we greedy? yes we are but the thing is our greed is not of money but of a different thing. And if one feels like understanding this vicious circle, you simply can't.It's like we blame the one who is mad for lust but we fail to inspect ourselves. The only day our greed will come to an end will be when we're satisfied. When we will accept the life as it is, when we really don't have to worry about the world and it's mess. We have that mark of serenity. We're just happy and content. We thank each breath, we thank each person and we're happy with ourselves anyways. That only will help you feel calm and composed. Feel relaxed. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Just when we walk in the world and it's mess, we forget about living. And greed is one of the most cruel factor of it.

"The world has enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed"; are there any counter-arguments to the previous statement?

Yes many. Its a stupid brain dead idea that ignores numbers. 2 billion people we can sustain sure but 7 billion, where do we get the food for that amount of people and the number is still growing. Now resources. All resources are finite and yes solar enegy ect but heres the catch you can only generate so much solar energy from a given surface. Now what do you think happens when we run out of fossil fuels with a poppulation this high and no ability to create more energy?Thirdly more importantly is called geographical location. So where are all these people living that they have enough resources? Cause if its anywhere on Africa your fucked. Asia your kinda okay, most of the Americas too but Europe nope not enough space. Thing is if you are on a small area with large number there will not be enough for your needs. If your in a deosert your screwed, goodluck finding just water. And fourth who defines need or greed? My need to find self actualization is to have a mansion with 10 bedrooms, two pools and my personal lion and a guard dog. Or do you mean bodily need to survive because then I need to eat about once every three days and then only something as big as fist(great weightloss program) I also only need one pair pants, no shirt(its hot where I am) no undetwear, shoe’s (that one I lik) or a bed or a house….See the problem with your statement?

Please give a english proverb or saying on "greed"....?

There is no greater guilt than discontentment.

How do we stop our Weim being so greedy?

What has happened here is that when he lived elsewhere he was not fed enough or he had too much competition for food and was not a dominant dog or alpha dog so he missed out.l have a strict rule when we eat the dogs are nowhere to be seen as it is natural them to stare and beg for human food.Even my well trained, well fed dogs that are Obedience trained and house dogs will some are will steal if given the opportunity. l cannot even defrost food by the sink as if am out it will not be there when l come home and l can assure you these dogs get the top food avail.Your dog will eventually calm down and realize that he will be fed and no-one will steal it from him.One point has he been wormed regularly as this if not done causes the dog to be hungry all the time but doubt this is the problem

Why is my puppy SO greedy?

Don't give him the attention and food he wants.
establish the role of the pack leader.
be firm,
if he wont stop put him in another room till he calms down.
then bring him back in the room.
if he repeats the greedy behavior.
take him out agian and tell him NO in a firm voice.
and he will soon,
realize begging means no people time.
Good Luck.

Why do tycoons never get enough of money and power? Are they sick or just greedy?

There are two schools of thought and both are valid. yes, greed could be and is often a factor. But there is another side to the coin and it concerns being rich and being wealthy. Havings lots of money in the bank might mean that you are rich, but it does not define wealth. Wealth is something you create over an extended period. Riches can be inherited, like Trump did. He is not a self-made man, despite all his declarations. With wealth you become involved in a much bigger picture from the moment you start out to a time when you realise that you have a significant workforce that is largely contributing to the creation of your wealth. Employees have families, so your sense of civic, social and national responsibility increaes as you move up the ladder of wealth. That ever-increasing workforce is a source of revenue to the government. You become inextricably linked to the bigger picture. Quite often you do not even know your true worth in monetary terms, but you keep going at what you do best. Providing employment/jobs for people is a huge responsibility, if you accept that it is incumbant upon you to contribute rather than to merely exploit. It becomes harder for you to sit back, because that is seldom an option, unless you have in place a mechanism that can take over the reigns when you choose to remove yourself. Of course, by then your personal wealth would have grown considerably, and you could consider yourself rich, legitimately so. Greed, however, is always defined in negative terms. People who are defined as such are seldom admired for real or true achievements, again, as in the case of Donald Trump. What has he got to be proud of? If your casino goes bottoms up in under 2 years, what does that say about you as a successful businessman? So, it is not always a case of not having enough money. Quite often there is a real existential, societal need for you (as a tycoon) to continue doing what you are good at. There does come a point when you know that the money is no longer a goal to be pursued.
