What Is The Definition Of Physical Fitness

What are the 9 components of physical fitness and their definition? and give their examples of movements.?

Strength - the extent to which muscles can exert force by contracting against resistance (e.g. holding or restraining an object or person)
Power - the ability to exert maximum muscular contraction instantly in an explosive burst of movements. The two components of power are strength and speed. (e.g. jumping or a sprint start)
Agility - the ability to perform a series of explosive power movements in rapid succession in opposing directions (e.g. ZigZag running or cutting movements)
Balance - the ability to control the body's position, either stationary (e.g. a handstand) or while moving (e.g. a gymnastics stunt)
Flexibility - the ability to achieve an extended range of motion without being impeded by excess tissue, i.e. fat or muscle (e.g. executing a leg split)
Local Muscle Endurance - a single muscle's ability to perform sustained work (e.g. rowing or cycling)
Cardiovascular Endurance - the heart's ability to deliver blood to working muscles and their ability to use it (e.g. running long distances)
Strength Endurance - a muscle's ability to perform a maximum contraction time after time (e.g. continuous explosive rebounding through an entire basketball game)
Co-ordination- the ability to integrate the above listed components so that effective movements are achieved.

Physical Education = physical education (training in the development of and care for the human body; stresses athletics; includes hygiene)

Describe Physical Fitness: A set of attributes that are either health related or performance (or skill) related. Health related fitness comprises those components of fitness that exhibit a relationship with health status. Performance/skill related fitness involves those components of fitness that enable optimal work or sport performance.

What does physical fitness definition is?

physical fitness =Good physical condition, being in shape or in condition

What is a definition of physical fitness?

In its most general meaning, physical fitness is a general state of good physical health. A physically handicapped person's body may be physically fit (healthy), though their ability is likely to be less than optimum.

Physical fitness is a result of regular physical activity, proper diet and nutrition, and proper rest for physical recovery within the parameters allowed by the genome.

What is physical fitness?

Physical fitness is the ability in which your body can deal with day to day tasks at varying difficulty levels and tempos. It's being able to do basic physical activities at an efficient rate in which your body works well to first do the exercises,, but then also to recover from them and prepare energy for the next. And also to be able to be flexible enough to avoid or reduce the risks of injury and again to recover from them if they do come about

Definition of Physical education and Physical Fitness, Goals of Physical Education etc.?

1. Being taught or shown how to improve ones physical ability
2. Being able to complete physical tasks
3. The ability to complete physically straining tasks
4. Being able to complete tasks, being healthy? <- not sure of this one.
5. Abdominal strength, endurance, upper body strength, flexibility, speed(unable to complete)

How do you define and measure physical fitness?

(As background: I have a degree in exercise and nutritional physiology)I think you need to re-evaluate the question first, before it can be definitively answered. Without trying to be obtuse, you need to decide what you mean by “fitness”. How you define fitness or, more accurately, your personal priority about fitness will then dictate your measure of fitness. For example, a triathlete might be superfit from a cardiovascular perspective with awesome VO2 Max and heart rate recovery. However these types of athletes tend have less muscle mass and explosive capability. So while their cardiovascular elements might be great they may not be able to even benchpress their own bodyweight (as an example). At the other end of the spectrum a powerlifter / bodybuilder might be able to squat a truck but not run a lap of the block. But I bet if you asked either of them, they’d say they were fit… but that the other wasn’t. As such fitness is relative to the focus of the individual and their purpose. As such you need to prioritise what is important to you as a personal fitness goal before finding a measure of that particular fitness level. Fat levels, VO2 Max, recovery rates, explosiveness, power generation etc are all measures of different kinds of fitness. One is not necessarily better than another relative to the type of physical activity you are looking to do.
