Differences between astronomy, astrology, cosmology, and astrophysics.?
Cosmology and astrophysics are subdisciplines of the science of astronomy. Cosmology is the study of the origin and evolution of the Universe. Astrophysics is the study of the origin and evolution of stars. Astrology is a pseudoscience which believes that the positions of stars and planets somehow influence the personalities of individual human beings and the events which happen to them. It is not a science because negative results of predictions are ignored.
What is the difference between Cosmology, Astrology, Astronomy, and Cosmetology?
Cosmology- the study of the Universe, of its composition, evolution...etc. There's another word "Cosmogony" very similar to this one- it's the study of Universe's origin. Astrology- the study/(I'd say trial to predict) people's future in regard to Universe's composition(position of stars...) Astronomy- it's a study very similar to Cosmology, but it relates also in details the study of physics (Pressure, Gravitational force,...) Cosmetology- the study how to use make-up products...
