What Is The Difference Between The American Dad And Family Guy Animation

Which is funnier and why: Family Guy or American Dad?

The incongruous flashbacks and asides in Family Guy allow for gags that don't rely on the established sitcom format. For this reason, Family Guy has more scope to be funny. The rest is all subjective.

Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, or American Dad?

The Simpsons (Better overall)
Family guy (Better now)
American Dad
Futuama

How is American Dad a spin off of Family Guy?

It's not really a spin-off of Family Guy, but more so a rip-off. Seth Macfarlane created both, Animation styles and the brand of humor they use are similar, and both seem to change the plot about 4 times a episode. In the sense that Macfarlane looked at Family Guy, singled out what was so successful, and just changed the setting and characters a little, I suppose it could be called a spin-off, but I don't think so.

Why did Seth MacFarlane create two similar animated sitcoms (American Dad and Family Guy)?

That's kind of an odd question that shows a common perspective on animation.I don't think someone would ask "Why did Norman Lear create two similar sitcoms (All in the Family and The Jeffersons)?"  Both series revolved around families with an outspoken, sometimes bigoted, father/husband.There is no more similarity between American Dad and Family Guy than there is between All in the Family and The Jeffersons.  But, many people see animation as reducing the spectrum.  They might be asked "Do you watch South Park?" and respond "No, I didn't like The Simpsons."  That response indicates they view animation as a genre when it is really a medium.I think the answer is, quite simply, that Seth MacFarlane enjoys working in the medium of animation and had stories he wanted to tell that better suited a different set of characters.  I doubt he sees the two series as being that similar.

The Tv Shows American Dad & Family Guy.?

I don't know American Dad but Family Guy I would say:

Peter- Pisces (He is very imaginative he tends to like his freedom and he doesn't care what people think; Can be lazy and doesn't come back to reality on important matters)
Lois- Libra (Thought of as being beautiful she can be peaceful one of the bunch; sometimes she can be flighty/flirty in some episodes)
Brian- Virgo (He is very helpful always there when you need him he is observant, precise, intelligent; he can sometimes become very fussy/cold)
Stewie- Gemini (He is intelligent, clever and witty and has a huge imagination; can be really mean and impulsive behavior)
Meg- Taurus (No matter what Meg is put through she is very loyal and generous to her family; she can be stubborn and sometimes materialistic but to prove points)
Chris- Cancer (Chris is very nice and responsive to everything he is always friendly; he is sort of clingy and overemotional sometimes)
Cleveland- Sagittarius (He is very independent and a great person to go to talk to he can let a bad situation go when need be; sometimes unemotional and letting too much go when should be fixed)
Joe- Aries (Joe is courageous and helps out people he cares for; he can be a little impulsive and short tempered with certain situations)
Quagmire- Scorpio (Well Quagmire is certainly passionate and resourceful lol; he can be a little obsessive and manipulative)

Does American Dad, Family Guy, and The Cleveland Show take place in the same universe?

Yes. As we know Cleveland used to hang out with the gang in family guy until they made the decision to move to a different city .and they came back after a few seasons. In episode Lois kills Stewie we see brian and stewie going to CIA and there they see stan and there has been a couple of times when roger has appeared on family guy so therefore we know they all exist in the same universe

How do action scenes differ between anime and Western animation?

In anime (when they are actually fighting and not talking for half an episode) there is usually more jumping around, running, acrobatics, and displays of formal weapon based combat and going really overboard. Where in westerns you see more emphasis on impacts and cuts more than anything but you typically see more empahasis on trying maintaining realism even in fantasy settings. (When im speaking of westerns im making a connection to shows like young justace, the boondocks, the last airbender, static shock, batman beyond, and jackie chan adventurers im excluding animations like family guy from this description)

What program is used to make Family Guy, American Dad, etc.?

You're looking for Toon Boom. Have a look here:

Why is American Dad less popular than Family Guy?

There is only one reason for this.FAMILY GUY CAME FIRST.Family Guy aired before American Dad! so the show had time to add on to its fan base much before American Dad!Frankly, content wise, Family Guy is too inappropriate, even for adults while American Dad! is just the right amount of inappropriate.

What kind of software do they use to create Family guy ad American dad?

im really interested in animation, i have adobe illustrator and Maya i can animate thing fairly well but i was wondering what type of program do they use to create Family guy and American dad? im willing to pay what ever the cost is , and is it a certain style of animation they use for these shows? and do they draw the scenes out then out them together or what ?
