Where are the general studies’ project marks added in class 12?

Actually, the marks that you get from General Studies is not added as such to your board exam marks. The board exam marks only depend upon what you have wriiten on theory paper and on Practical exam paper.General Studies only carries a grade, and the grade for the project you have submitted for that would be displayed in the mark sheet of your Class 12 exams. These grades can never influence nor alter the marks obtained in core subjects.

Is it compulsory to pass in all the 6 subjects in CBSE 12th boards? What if I failed in my additional subject's exam (maths)?

I used to have 6 subjects just like you. So, I guess I can answer this from my experience.Since you have registered for 6 subjects, you must pass in all 6 of them otherwise you may have to give compartmental exams for the failed ones. So, DON’T FAIL IN ANY SUBJECTS. At least get passing marks if you situation is so dire in that subject. But, here comes the catch. During percentage calculation, It is calculated using best of 5. But, A language subject such as English in your case is necessary. It can’t be replaced. So, basically its- A language subject + 4 other best scored subjects of yours taken into consideration in percentage calculation. In your case, English + 4 Best of other 5 subjects will be taken into consideration.Summarizing everything, if you have such desperate condition in math, then you can let it easy on you and get the passing marks. But all other subjects must be done well enough to get a good aggregate percentage. So, Best of Luck for your exams. Hope this helps.

What will happen to my placement if I take the CBSE improvement exam?

Placement depends upon what you do during your graduation. If your graduation is great and you present yourself well during the interview, then you definitely get placed in a good platform.Depends on their norms. (I don't think Improvement Marksheet has any counteraction)Remember that you'll only get a new marksheeet and not a new passing certificate. Your passing year will remain the same.Don't worry about placements. Boards marks do not play much role during placements. If your graduation is fantastic, you're all set to rock the placement.

Why is adsorption an exothermic process?

Adsorption is always exothermic. This statement can be explained in two ways.(i)Adsorption leads to a decrease in the residual forces on the surface of the adsorbent. This causes a decrease in the surface energy of the adsorbent. Therefore, adsorption is always exothermic.(ii)ΔH of adsorption is always negative. When a gas is adsorbed on a solid surface, its movement is restricted leading to a decrease in the entropy of the gas i.e., ΔS is negative. Now for a process to be spontaneous, ΔG should be negative.ΔG= ΔH-TΔSSince ΔSis negative, ΔH has to be negative to make ΔG negative. Hence, adsorption is always exothermic.

What is the importance of curriculum in education?

Any curricula at any level should be based on what objectives or goals the educator or educational institution is trying to achieve in regard to students. A course of study for a class that teaches a student how to touch-type should be very different from one that teaches students to write a novel or a poem or even the results of a science experiment. A course of study for a liberal arts degree should be different from that for an M.D. Classes required for an auto mechanic should be quite different from those required for a physical education teacher. Therefore, a curriculum is of the utmost importance, as it mandates, among other things, how teachers and students will spend their time—in a lab? in clinical practice? in creating? in listening to lectures? It also clearly shows what a class, a department, a school, or an institution values, what these entities see as their mission, and what each expects its graduates to achieve. A curriculum should be the map to the essentials in any course of study, from the classroom level to the institutional level. The success of any curriculum, then, should be judged on the basis of whether it achieves its objective. It’s a test of how well an educational institution (or an individual teacher) defines and understands those objectives. It’s a measure of how well an educational institution (or individual teacher) maps out a way for a student to find his or her way to success as defined by those objectives. It answers the questions, “What do I want my students to know? How can I engage them in a series of activities that will maximize their chances of knowing? How can I measure what they have learned from these activities?” Can the student type x words per minute? Can the student produce a creative work of literature? Can the student diagnose/operate on/cure a patient? Can a student repair a car? Can a student become more physically fit?If teachers or academic departments or educational institutions pay no attention to the demands of curriculum, there’s chaos. Curriculum means far more than “lesson plans.”

What is the pass mark out of 70 in the CBSE class 11? Along with the 30 marks for practical, how much should I score to pass in physics?

Don't worry, passing marks is so small that it is quite difficult for you to fail even.Don’t even think about it,it is only 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical separately in addition to 33% in aggregate in order to qualify in that subject(Physics). If you attend your class regularly, then easily you will get 26/27 marks in Practical & 40/45 marks inTheory paper. But I’m sure you have joined in science stream to achieve some big goal in your life .It may be Engg/Medical/MBA/IAS/PO/Prof etc.For achieving this big target you have to think big,you have to work really hard for some more years, then only you will achieve your goal.My request, try to win any competition once, receive the prize from the honourable guest, see your parents happiest face.I bet you will never ask the above question in your life time.
