What is the fastest you have ever driven a car in India? Which car and which place (road)?
The fastest I've ever driven was 219 kmph. The Car in question being a BMW 5 - series (520d prestige) on the Hyderabad's Infamous ORR.I'll break this down. That was a sunny sunday morning. Had nothing to do. Since I live in the city, I thought I'll go have breakfast at this boutique Organic bistro that's 70Km out of town. Most of those 70 odd kilometers were on the ORR. Mind you, that was at around 8:00 AM on a Sunday. The road was absolutely empty. Not a single speck on the horizon.yeah, something like that.So, being the gearhead I am, I've put the (ZF 8-speed StepTronic) transmission in sport mode, the suspension in Dynamic mode and floored it. Yeah, went for the V-Max. With nothing in sight, the speeds climbed till 200kmph with relative ease, and showed no signs of letting up.210kmph came up in a short time. The acceleration was effortless, albeit relatively slow. This was at 214kmph. My co passengers (3 of them) were egging me to go on, while taking their mobile devices out to post on SnapChat/ Instagram.This was from my friend’s Snapchat Story. Guess something's do not change.I kept the throttle pinned to the floor. Speed kept climbing linearly now. 216, 217, 218…And then, that happened. 219 Kmph. (Again, from my friend’s snapchat story while the other guy was busy Recording the speedo.Then, after we've hit 220kmph (or 219kmph if you will), I got off the throttle, slowed the vehicle down to 120kmph. Screams erupted in the cabin, and we progressed on with our short Roadtrip.So, how do I feel about it ? I'll put it this way. Was it reckless ? Maybe. Isn't it dangerous ? Yes (Relatively). Would I do it again ? Absolutely.

What was the speed, where were you, what type of car were you driving, what were the general circumstances? Just curious. The fastest I've ever gone was 100 mph while driving my BMW X1. I was on a really isolated highway and just TOUCHED 100 for a couple seconds before slowing down. I know, not safe, and I'll never do it again. Just curious as to you guys!

1970 torino 140mph last i looked before the S turn 1/4 mile away. fliped it .on roof .slid to giant tree stump . bumper taped it lightly put small dent . pushed out roof . couldn't tell . little 8 oz miller bottles every where . full !

I was on Interstate 75 just outside of Atlanta Georgia after 9/11 occurred and i was in a 94 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor travelling at speeds of 130 mph +/- enroute home. I was in New York the day before and actually took pics of the towers. Scariest moment of my life and did not fully know what was going on. Could only think of getting home down in South Georgia. You could actually feel the calm and absence of people along the interstate.
