What Is The Formula For Answering Questions A

I need the formula and answer to this question.....?

you are ready to give the 0900 dose of benadryl.the ivpb contains 30 ml of medication.the pharmacy instructions state that the medication is run in over 45 minutes. the iv pump must be set in ml/hour. how many ml/hour must you set the pump for in order to run 30 ml ivpb in 45 minutes??????

What is the mathematical formula for answering this question?

First, set the number of pages of large type as x. Then the number of pages of small type should be (21-x), since there'll be 21 pages in total.

Then setup an equation for words and solve for it.

1800 x + 2400 (21-x) = 48000
18 x + 24 (21-x) = 480
18 x + 504 - 24 x = 480
504 - 6 x = 480
504 = 480 + 6 x
24 = 6 x
4 = x

There are 4 pages of larger type, and therefore 21-4, ior 17 pages of smaller type.

Probability Question. Have the answer but which formula do I use???

When several women are not hired at the Telektronics Company, they do some research and find that among the many people who applied, 30% were women. However, the 20 people who were hired consist of only 3 women and 17 men. Find the probability of randomly selecting 20 people from a large pool (30% women) and getting 3 or fewer women.

What is the formula for calculating sales tax??? need to answer a sales tax question on homework answer?

Okay this will be quick and easy. First take $14.50 and add it to $23.95. That should give you a total of $38.45. Now take the sum of the two numbers (in this case it would be $38.45) and multiply it by 5% (0.05) You get 1.9225 so round that up to $2.00 and you add that to the first sum ($38.45+$2.00). The answer you should get is $40.45. As you can see that is a little over $40.00 so if you can come up with some change you should be able to buy both the shirt and the jeans. However, if you only have $40.00 then, no you can't get both.

Empirical formula question. Really confused.?

Combustion analysis .....

CxHyOH + O2(g) --> CO2(g) + H2O(g)
0.250g ..................... 0.625g .. 0.307g

Moles and grams of C and H
0.625g CO2 x (1 mol CO2 / 44.0g CO2) x (1 mol C / 1 mol CO2) x (12.01g C / 1 mol C) = 0.0142 mol C and 0.171g C
0.307g H2O x (1 mol H2O / 18.0g H2) x (2 mol H / 1 mol H2O) x (1.008g H / 1 mol H) = 0.0341 mol H and 0.0344g H

Mass and moles of oxygen
0.250g - 0.171g C - 0.0344g H = 0.0446g O
0.0446g O x (1 mol O / 16.0g O) = 0.00279 mol O

Empirical formula
C .... 0.0142 mol C / 0.00279 = 5.09 mol C
H .... 0.0341 mol H / 0.00279 = 12.2 mol H
O .... 0.00279 mol O / 0.00279 = 1 mol O

I hate to round off the numbers of moles which are far from integers, but it would appear that this is somewhat "crappy" data.

Empirical formula
C5H12O
