What Is The Hardest Universal Truth To Accept

What are some of the hardest truths to accept about the world?

The truth is not inherently “hard” to accept, it’s just that we have been conditioned psychologically in a certain way, and this makes it hard to see, acknowledge, embrace and exploit the truth for our own individual and collective advantage. For example, people are selfish. They think about themselves all the time.Which is a good thing. It’s a simple truth we should accept.(“Selfish” might be the wrong word; “self-oriented” might be more accurate, more neutral).Since people only (or at least firstly) think about their own self-interest, I should then approach them by FIRST mentioning what’s in it for THEM.Yet, so many entrepreneurs and companies don’t get this simple truth. (I get tons of emails via Linkedin from individuals or companies pitching their services, yet they don’t mention anything about the benefits I would get if I hired them).I’ve always been successful in marketing and sales BECAUSE I embrace that truth, that people only care about themselves. (Why do we expect people to act otherwise?).So when I pitch a service or product, I “bombard” them with benefits for THEM until they can no longer resist the desire I have created in their mind and heart, and they buy.

What is the hardest universal truth to accept?

Everything you make will eventually be destroyed.Everything you do will eventually be forgotten.Everyone that truly knows you will be gone someday and the real you will be forgotten. As pessimistic as the above sounds let me add the corollary that even if all of the above is true you will be the stepping stone for others achievements and those will continue in succession as long as humanity does, even if your individual contributions to the endless chain of knowledge is lost to time.Addendum: (you'd be surprised how often people need reminding)You deserve to be loved and more people care about you than you realize. You should smile more.Love yourself, even if you don't currently like yourself or you will get nowhere. You are unique just like everyone else.Just thought some happy truths that people forget and find hard to accept were needed amongst all the negative answers....

What's a universal truth that everyone accepts regardless of what their opinions are?

Gravity. Not the how or why, but merely that it exists. Those who might disagree aren’t usually around long to argue either lol.

Which “truth” was the hardest to accept, but the most beneficial?

That you've got tons of flaws. It's the human nature to be blind to see our own faults and to portray oneself as self righteous.Because of this simple inborn habit, we wreck our relationships and fail to tap into our true potentials. It's hard to accept our faults and faults. It's even harder to work on them and become someone better. But its fruit is sweet.Once you figure out who you truly are, nothing can stop you.

List of universal truths?

i need to write an english paper about a photo and i need to come to a universal truth so i need some examples of universal truths to start off with and i want to do a picture of me wearing a bracelet that i always used to wear until it broke so something along those lines would be great but i will appreciate any truths you can come up with!
Thank you!

What is the hardest truth humanity will have to accept for the next decades?

In the last 150 years humanity has experienced an enormous improvement in standard of living. Not all regions or peoples at the same rate, but the potential has been increasing at an astounding rate. Can all regions and peoples in the earth have the standard of living of people in the United States? No, they can’t. There aren’t enough resources. And the resources are dwindling. The industrial revolution from 1850 through 1950 (and later) was driven by the availability of fossil fuels, which are non-renewable. Repeat: NON-RENEWABLE. The entire growth history of the NYSE depends on non-renewable resources. The demand for these resources is increasing, as formerly undeveloped countries become developed and want to experience the benefits that the industrialized Western world has enjoyed. But they cannot, not all of them, and not all of us anymore either. It will run out (remember: NON-RENEWABLE). The more we use, the less our children and grandchildren will have. The faster we extract and burn fossil fuel for energy, the sooner our descendants will suffer. At some point, in the not too distant future (you asked about decades), oil and gas will become increasingly expensive because it costs more to extract less.At that point, humanity will no longer be capable of sustaining its numbers. There will be a massive die-off, either a slow one or a quick one. We can look forward and make this a gradual attrition. Or we can put our heads in the sand and pretend it won’t happen, and experience the wars and plagues that result from short term thinking instead of long term thinking.Your choice. A hard truth, but we’ll have to accept it.

What is the hardest truth about yourself that you can't accept?

Deep down the my mind, I see a necessity to hide a real, deep, complex, thoughtful man or even sometimes a delusionary man who is entangled in thoughts of his unattained powerful self.Sometimes, as a person who has been a harsh victim to many incidents of untrustful surroundings, which is not known to the present new born body self.Sometimes, being briefed by oneself ,asking to prove or correct or even show to the world that talents this one has or seems to posses will be locked in sometime by yourself in just to stop you forever .Sometimes, intangible someone briefs me that several of my future attempts to win the goals I have kept are only meant to fail or even sucess attainted will be mutted by my own self.Myself unknowingly, is seriously working on cutting down, most of my own emotions and will continue to do so in the future to ignore my weaker self.OK . I will be more specific. There is a war within me and I am a horrible victim to it, the enemy here that is me, will be going through a makeover . All I know is that throughout this war I am remolding myself. This is one of those important bitter truths that I am spilling out for now, cause the rest requires more understanding .

Is truth definite or is truth perceptive?

I believe it's perceptive. Everything we know is based off of our inputs - our senses. Everything. Therefore truth is perceptive. It's based off our perception - off our intuition. All of mathematics can be reduced down to primitive concepts and terms that we *just have to know*. Therefore, ultimately, all of mathematics relies on our own intuition. It's easy to see how all of lifes truths are based off our intuition and senses. Therefore truth is perceptive.

We really can only discuss truths that we agree on, such as mathematical truths. Truths that we can't agree on obviously would be harder for all of society to understand and analyze.

What is the hardest truth?

This is easy. The “hardest truth” is the Gospel. It is the fact that you are a sinner, you offend God, you will go to hell, unless you accept God’s provision. So what? Well, to be a sinner means there is sin—i.e. an offense. But to whom? Well, to God. Again, so what? Offending God results in judgment. Hebrews 10:31 “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.” Then what is the solution? Jesus Christ.Okay, here we go. Another guy droning on and on about Christ and the Gospel and blah, blah, blah. Always someone injecting this into a meaningful conversation, right? But, just reread the question/topic…and doesn’t any backlash validate my point? WHAT IF there is a God? WHAT IF he has rules and laws? WHAT IF sin equates to damnation? WHAT IF this “droning” is actually true? Take not my word for it. Seek truth…REAL truth. Not self-serving modems like money and relationships, which comprises 95% of the answers on this topic. They pass. I mean something true and lasting which will not abandon you, depreciate nor rust. Read the Word people. Believe. There are but two religions in the world:Salvation by Grace = Christianity (you are not good and you cannot, under any circumstances, at any time, please God therefore you must accept His “Grace”ful provision: Christ).Salvation by works = every, single, other religion on planet Earth (somehow, someway, you can do enough “good” works to please God(s) thereby earning your way into heaven / paradise / reincarnation / whatever).Jesus Christ is the “hardest truth” for man to accept. Period.
