What Is The Jaguars Rating Now After Getting A Win

Who will win this fight? bear vs jaguar?

Elaine... lets not get to full of ourselves, have you heard of the spectacled bear? The one that lives on the western coast of South America... the one that shares its rage with the jaguar?

You have not specified which bear, there are many bears, if it was a polar or a brown bear (grizzly) the jaguar would have no chance, anything smaller like a spectacled, panda or even black bear, the jaguar would ponce from behind and crush its skull.

But, large predators of different species do not fight, they just avoid each other, and the jaguar would only ever meet a spectacled bear, which would be highly unlikely anyway.

Viking berserker vs aztec jaguar warrior. who would win?

I'm with squorm. The aztecs used very sharp weapons (obsidian is sharper than steel), but they were very fragile and would shatter against steal. While the Vikings had rather poor-quality weapons (the steel they had available was not very good compared to the rest of europe) it was still much, much stronger than what the aztecs had, and they'd basically be protected from anything the aztecs could throw at them. The only chance would be an arrow, at distance, to a soft spot in the armor.

Basically European soldiers were better armed and better armored than anyone else in the world at the time.

Who would win in a fight, a cougar or a jaguar?

Jaguars are typically stronger than cougars, but there’s a myriad of possible scenarios for determining the winner of a fight between the two animals.Suppose the cougar jumps on the jaguar from a high place, and if the cougar lands on the jaguar with enough force, then the jaguar could be killed by the impact.Suppose the jaguar jumps on the cougar in the same way. This time the cougar would be killed as a result.Suppose the cougar plans out a surprise attack, and pounces on the jaguar, biting its neck before it has a chance to strike back. Then the jaguar would die.Suppose the jaguar does the surprise attack on the cougar. The cougar would die.Suppose both of them die, in a battle to the death.

Adult jaguar vs spotted hyena who will win in a fight if they got a chance to meet?

A hyena would win.
It's paw's crushing pressure is 65 tons/ inch square! which is larger than that of an adult jaguar. 34 tons/ square inch. A jaguar may be a great leaper but a hyena is a good deciever. If a jaguar places it's giant paw on hyena it will be sliced into 4 but if a hyena places on any part of that giant cat, it will be crushed to pieces.

Aggressive cougar vs aggressive jaguar who would win?

Definitely the jaguar. Jaguars are the third largest members of the cat family, after the tiger and lion - they are powerfully built and very strong, probably the strongest of all cats in comparison to their size. Where the two species co-exist, cougars avoid jaguars whenever possible.

EDIT: In response to Rick E's answer, jaguars and cougars are certainly not the same species. They're not even in the same genus. This is a jaguar (Panthera onca):

And this is a cougar (Puma concolor), also called the puma or mountain lion (or Florida panther, in the case of the Florida subspecies):

You are probably thinking of the 'black panther', which is just a name given to melanistic leopards - that is, leopards with an excess of the dark pigment melanin, resulting in a black coat. Melanistic jaguars can also occur.

Can a jaguar kill a lion?

Such a situation is geographically impossible- lions inhabit the savanahs of Africa (barring a small scrawny sub species in India), and jaguars live in the tropical jungles of South America. So such an encounter spanning two continents is well nigh impossible.Be that as it may, the lion is bigger and stronger and will probably win. Lions occasionally kill adult cheetahs by biting down hard on their skull till it cracks. This they do if the cheetah wanders into the lion’s territory or if it is perceived as a threat to it’s cubs. I’m not sure about leopards- they can climb trees and disappear pretty quickly. Lions don’t generally climb trees, barring one species in Uganda.A jaguar is infinitely more agile, but if it encounters an angry lion, I don’t think it would stand a chance. Lions have been known to be capable of killing anything including elephants and giraffes, despite these two animals being capable of crushing the lion’s skull with one kick (giraffe) or a stomp with the feet (elephant).
