What Is The Main Reason Why The Giants Will Lose The Series

NY Giants @ Tampa Bay...who will win? and why?

I am a believer in trends. Every successful team has a foundation their success is built on. One particular stat will be consistent through out your wins or even your losses. The first game to be locked in is the NY Giants facing off against the Tampa Bay Bucs. The consistent key to the Giants wins and losses has been the amount of reliance they have put on Eli Manning. While he does get some leniency at times that can be credited to his last name. He also receives a lot of undue expectations as a result of that last name as well. He is still a very young Quarterback. In the Giants win they have averaged 46% of their yards from the rush. In their losses they have only managed to get 30% of their yardage rushing. Eli Manning is not his brother, he is not Brett Favre he is not someone you can ride to success. At least not yet. As important as this emphasis on the run has been to the Giants, it will be spot lighted, even more than usual when facing the Bucs. The Bucs consistent factor in their wins is applying pressure on the quarterback. If you eliminate the games where Jeff Garcia was not playing QB they won every interception battle. Additionally if you take into account the games played by Gradkowski and McCown; in all of their wins they have won either the interception battle or the Sack battle, if not both. The knee jerk reaction is to look to the protection of Eli Manning in order for the Giants to secure a victory. I say worry less about protecting him for his throws and worry more about protecting him from his throws.

Why was the 1904 World Series in baseball cancelled?

The manager and owner of the 1904 National League champion New York Giants (they play in San Francisco now) refused to meet the American League champion Boston Americans (called the Red Sox now), saying that playing the champion of an "inferior league" was beneath them.It actually had more to do with perception. In 1904, the AL was a former minor league that had declared itself a major league prior to the 1901 season. In 1903, the Americans beat the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first World Series, although that name wasn't in use yet. The Americans' victory was a watershed moment, basically the "Super Bowl III" of baseball, where the public realized that the AL really was a major league. Before that, the public had perceived the AL as beneath the level of the older, established NL, which had existed since 1876. Actually, the NL was still somewhat better overall in quality of play in 1903-04, but the AL wasn't a minor league, either. And the Americans had a pitcher named Cy Young, a former NL superstar who signed with Boston in 1901 and who made a huge difference in a short series. The Giants were so criticized for chickening out on facing the Americans that they agreed to play the World Series in 1905, where they beat the Philadelphia A's in five games. Not long after, an agreement was made and the World Series became a permanent event. Both the Giants and the Red Sox claim league pennants for 1904 that they earned. The Giants tried to claim to be the champions of all baseball, but the public rejected the claim and they eventually quietly stopped claiming to be anything more than NL champions. The Sporting News, citing the fact it was the Giants who refused to play, actually declared the Americans as the rightful champions. But the organization has never gone that far; a 1904 AL Champion banner hangs at Fenway Park, but nothing more.

US vs. EU: what are the reasons why most Internet giants are US-based companies?

The main reason is people in USA are blindly patriotic (they are indoctrinated from very early age) and they only use services provided by American internet companies. And because many third world countries want to blindly ape Americans they also jump on the bandwagon Americans are riding.Another reason is these days most people prefer internet as their first source of information about any happening around the world. So whoever controls the internet controls the foolish masses. And because internet is still in control of US government and they only allow American companies to flourish on the internet to keep tight control on all the information floating around on the internet.

Why did the terrestrial planets lose their primary atmosphere of hydrogen and helium?

They were to close to the sun to hold onto the hydrogen and helium. The gas giants, were far enough from the sun to hold onto their hydrogen and helium atmospheres. The sun's solar winds kept the terrestrial planets from having a hydrogen/helium atmosphere. Volcanism and meteor impacts are the main reasons why we have an atmosphere today.

What MLB team will go to the World Series in 2017?

Disclaimer: This is a completely biased answer from a die hard Jay Blue fan.I think Red Sox are be the one to go through! :PI’ll give you guys a few reasons as well. The first being-They’re at the Top of the Table. Isn’t that enough?Okay, Let’s go through the others, starting with Yankees.Surely, they’re second on the list but they need to catch up with the pace & grit of the Red Sox for the rest of the season, which they won’t. Baltimore Orioles are the next ones lined up. But, they won’t be able to fill the gap with the Red Sox in the meantime. They’ve got a few tough home games ahead. Let’s see how they fair against the Blue Jays in next one.Simply put, Red Sox have emerged as a better team than rather than being the best team of this season. They’ve recently beat the Blue Jays (Brett Anderson broke my heart!) and will beat them in their next encounter as well. There’s some psychological advantage going on with them wherever they go. Not to forget a better Home record as well. So, anyone thinks the Red Sox cannot make it to the World Series?

Why can't the Giants ever beat the Diamondbacks in the last couple of years?

The Giants have been a better team over the last couple years. The main reason the Giants have consistently beaten the Diamondbacks is random variance. For example, the St. Louis Cardinals went 100 - 62 last season. They won 62% of the games they played. The Phillies, on the other hand, went 63 - 99. They won 39% of the games they played.Their is more random variance in the MLB compared to the NBA or NFL. The best teams win about 60% of the time. This means they lose the other 40%!The Giants won 52% of the games they played last season. The Diamondbacks won 49%. Random variance explains why the Giants have handled the Dbacks over the last couple seasons.A good way to think of random variance is to think about flipping a coin 100 times. We know that their will be streaks of the coin landing on “heads” and other times where it lands “tails.” Over the course of 100 flips, though, we expect the number of times it lands on “heads” to equal the times it lands “tails.”So, as the Giants continue to play the Dbacks we can expect the short term “streaks” to become less of a factor. The two teams will play more to their natural talent level.

What were the key reasons for the San Francisco Giants winning the 2012 World Series?

Postseason experience counts for a lot and the Giants,  having won it all two years ago and having survived being down big in their previous series,  just had more of it to fall back on.  They also had better pitching depth even if the Tigers had the better starters on paper.  I also think the long layoff clearly hurt the Tigers as it did in 2006. Baseball more than any other sport in the postseason is a game of momentum and rhythm.

Why are American baseball matches called the "World Series" when all the participant teams are basically from American soil?

When the World Series was established in 1903, nearly all professional baseball teams were in the United States, with two dominant leagues: the American League and the National League.  The World Series was set up as a contest between the two leagues which (until the advent of interleague play in 1997) never faced each other during the regular season.  It was appropriately called the world series since it was a contest that included nearly all professional baseball players.  The name stuck even though now there are many professional leagues outside the U.S.  One could argue that the name is still appropriate since the best players in non-U.S. leagues tend to come to the US[1] to play when they can (one major exception is Japanese professional baseball, which tends to hold on to its players, though that trend has become less pronounced).Baseball also has good claim to being a "world sport" as it's played professionally in 20 countries on five continents, including in the US, Japan, Korea, China, Australia, six nations in Europe, and in most of Central and South America.  There are more baseball players than there are players of almost any other sport (baseball consistently lands in the top 10 most popular sports worldwide) and is certainly more popular than almost all sports featured in the global amateur championship Olympics. There is now also a true world championship between national teams held every four years in the spring called the World Baseball Classic. Many MLB players compete for their home country.[1]When I say the US I really mean MLB, which does include a Canadian team (and used to include two).Sources:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wor...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wor...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro...
