What Is The Military Rating For Sleep Ap

Sleep apnea in the military?

If the apnea requires the use of a CPAP machine to treat it, yes that person may be considered non-deployable. The machines can't be used in combat situations or aboard ships or subs. Depending on the person's job, length of service and branch, they may be offered a medical discharge or be denied re-enlistment at a later time.

Can you help me figure out my military sleeping bag?

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. Basic Training- Military?

You probably should say WHICH basic training.
Which country?
Which military?
regular service or specialized?
Such as; if you were asking about USA then that matters, if you are asking about Air Force then that matters, and if you were talking about ParaRescue in the US Air Force then that really matters quite abit.

Sleepwalking and military?

I'm a disabled Iraq Vet, medically retired CPT with both a very severe TBI and PTSD w/severe depressive disorder. I have these dreams every other night it seems. My wife has said I've walked in the closet asked for status reports woken her up by punching her or the headboard. It is a very real thing and you need to seek help NOW. Get a medical evaluation and or a MedBoard going based on the condition. When or if discharged those symptoms alone are nearly 50% disablity according the VARSD. I dont know what this will mean for your future employment. Time and therapy will ease this some however you may endanger if doing full "combat" op wether it be civilian police or military. Consider reclassing or a civilian job that involves law enforcement but not "on the line so to speak" jobs. You do NOT need to go on any other deployments this will only aggravate your symptoms. Make sure you are not abusing alcohol or drugs to cope this will make it worse. There is a medication that is used at mWalter Reed to help with PTSD sleep issues called Seroquil and they say they have a fair amount of success with it. I am not able to take it b/c I have a siezure disorder from the severe head injury. I do take valium right before bed to relax my mind which generally works but I still have flare ups sometimes. Please please I urge you to seek help tommorrow... I know exactly what you are going through and it is hell.. Help is out there...

Can you get discharged from the military for having insomnia?

Already answered this...same answer...

1. He will get medically evaluated for the condition. They will try to resolve the situation through treatment and/or drugs.

2. If that doesn't work they will medically board him to determine if the condition warrants a return to duty (with limitations) or a discharge

3. They will medically board him again to determine what type of discharge he will get and any disability rating he may be entitled to

This entire process normally takes 6-18 months depending on the situation and how backlogged the medical eval process is.

How Much Should I Sleep Before AP Exam?

don't stress yourself out too much. Right now what you need to do is go over the big issues. Dont worry too much about the minutia - they want to see the the bigger picture.

Get at least 8 hours rest. Stop studying around 7 or 8pm, and just relax and read a book or watch some tv.

the more your worry and stress and cram, the more you are going to mentally exhaust yourself.

You will be great!

good luck!

Yes, depending on the mine, how it is placed, and the protective equipment worn by the victim. Most antipersonnel blast mines are pressure-initiated and carry a very small explosive charge and tend to maim rather than kill, usually resulting in traumatic amputation of the foot and lower leg. This earned them the nickname "toe poppers".Some antipersonnel mines are basically grenades with instantaneous fuzes instead of a delay and are often triggered by tripwires. Like a grenade, they rely on bits of metal thrown into the air. These are more likely to be lethal than blast mines, but people survive grenade attacks and people can survive these as well. Then you have your bounding fragmentation mines. These launch a small grenade into the air, where it explodes at roughly head level. It's basically an air burst grenade. These are more deadly than either of the previous two mine types, but even so survival is possible so long as the fragmentation doesn't hit any critical locations. Body armor and helmets go a long way here.Antitank landmines have much larger explosive charges (being designed for use against armored vehicles), and some use shaped charges or EFPs as well, but they are usually designed so as to not be set off by personnel. Pressure antitank mines usually require 300+ pounds of pressure to initiate the mine. There are some that can be easily modified for lighter pressure, but that's not their intended use. Some mines require large magnetic signatures to fire. Tilt rods (which function exactly like they sound, a rod comes out of the middle of the mine and the mine detonates when the rod is pushed in any direction) could possibly be initiated by a person. And of course any number of booby traps could be rigged to a mine. And I'll finish off with improvised mines, which could be pretty much anything the builder desires. Want to build a pressure plate that can be triggered by a squirrel but sets off 200 lbs of explosives? It can be done, and pretty easily. So obviously here the survivability will vary greatly based on the design specifics.I should also mention placement. The deeper a mine is buried, the more blast energy is lost before it reaches the victim. The ground also absorbs fragmentation, if that happens to be a method of injury for that type of mine.

Depends on what you mean by rich. You can go to https://www.dfas.mil/militarymem...For a list of the compensation service members receive. The first chart is the most pertinent. The subsequent charts list other pay and allowances available for the military. Not everyone qualifies for each of the special pay or allowances.Single military members will get room and board in the barracks in addition to their pay.Married personnel will either get base housing or the LQA(Living Quarters Allowance) to cover the cost of their apartment or mortgage and BAS (Basic Allowance for Subsistence) for food for the military member. So not a bad deal if you think about it, $2k/month of spending money. All you really need to cover is haircuts every week and other personnel hygiene expenses. You have a place to sleep, food to eat and your clothes already picked out.

What United States Military Academy would be best for me to attend?

I want to attend a United States Military Academy because I want to help my country in a time of struggle. I'm also wanting to attend because I wish to better myself physically and mentally.

I'm confused as to which one I want to go to though...

If you can supply me with some answers as to the benefits of going to the Naval Academy vs. the Air Foce Academy vs. West Point, it would all be greatly appreciated.

I want to major in International Relations or Political Science, and learn Arabic and Urdu, possibly even Farsi. I would like to help my country in any way I can, and I believe by joining the Military, I can accomplish what I was born to do.

I would like to become the best well- mannered, disciplined, outgoing person I can become. I want to make sure that a little boy or girl will go to sleep at night, knowing that their father's death was not in vain. I want to help better my country.

So which Military Academy between the Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Army is the best to attend for what I want to major in? Which would you recommend and for what reasons?

I wouldn't mind paying the ultimate price so that you can sleep well at night, and not have to worry about dying the next day.

Why be afraid of death when it is something that can be given to you for saving someone's life?
If death is what it takes for me to save you, then so be it.
I'm not afraid to die.

Thanks to all who contribute.
