What are renaissance festival sword expenses?

I'm buying a sword at the renaissance festival this year, and I'm saving up early.
what are the general prices? some of them get pretty pricey, depending on material and design, i know. probably just a display sword, but could be used in actualy swordplay. When I get one it'll be a high-quality one.I'll not be ordering it online, i just want to get an idea of what they have for what prices when i visit. Is there a website I can browse that have prices and pictures? thanks.

What do swordsmen say when they begin to fight? Was it Unguard?

It is actually spelled en garde in French. Literally, it translates to "in protection", as in a stance of protection.Someone who says "En garde" must be talking to an opponent that he is about to attack. If the opponent isn't ready for an attack after the warning, then it isn't the attackers fault for being sneaky. It is considered a nicety to the opponent to say "En garde."

It could also mean "you have an opening." It is a warning of a defensive breach on one's person.

What is the most realistic form of sword fighting (best to learn for sword fighting)?

Planning on carrying around a sword all the time for self-defense, are you? Rather impractical. Most all styles of sword combat evolved in particular historical periods, and were designed to fight against particular enemies. Some were intended to be soldier’s sidearms on the battlefield, and some for civilians for self-defense of duelling. Take the sword out of it’s historical context, and it’s usefulness drops.HEMA groups are all over. (Historic European Martial Arts). Individual schools may practice with the longsword, the rapier, the smallsword, even the “greatswords” or the broadsword and claymore. There are schools of Japanese kenjutsu and ia-jutsu. Modern western sport fencing is not particularly realistic. There are still others. You’d likely do best to see just what’s available in your area, and to find out what sort of practice weapons and protective gear you’ll need.
