What movies are you looking forward to watch in 2013 & 2014?
Two movies spring to mind immediately:Christopher Nolan's InterstellarI love Christopher Nolan's work ever since Memento. He is an incredible artist and the cinematography team he works with are nothing short of excellent - also, I've always been curious to see a Nolan Sci-Fi.---The second film is Lars von Trier's Nymph()maniacA bit more "art-house" that your run-of-the-mill blockbusters - but I like his vision; Dogville was cool too - albeit weird. Also, I'm very interested in the sexual nature of humans, especially the dark side of it all, and am keen to see how it is portrayed in film.. Plus, theres the added taboo of basically watching pornography (some of the actors have real sex in the film) with a genuine heartfelt story - watching the censorship walls crumble to pieces, I suppose.

What are some movies you were really looking forward to that looked like they were going to be great but ended up sucking?
When I first saw the trailer for ‘Interstellar’ (2014), I was amazed. That was even before I knew who was directing it: Christopher Nolan. Also, I was excited to see Matthew McConaughey attempt to win his second Oscar after ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ (2013).When I finally went to go watch the movie, something just didn’t feel right. I think the focus shifted around way too much in terms of scientific, plot, characters, and even sound.Without ruining too much of the movie, I think Nolan would’ve done a better job if he had focused the movie on either just the scientific visuals, or just the drama of human relations. He kept shifting between the adventure of the different groups of people involved in the plot and the tension was present every other time. It’s kind of hard to explain, but I just felt like Nolan tried to incorporate too much into the plot. It could’ve been quite straightforward, but ended up causing for more confusion for the viewers. The visuals were amazing and I think that’s what Nolan’s primary focus was; to be able to present his scientific views on wormholes.Lastly, I think the ambient sound effects were too high for me to hear the characters speaking. I especially couldn’t hear Professor Brand’s last speech before his death in bed scene. It wasn’t horrible, I enjoyed the visuals quite well, but…As a Nolan movie, it was very disappointing for me.

How many books/movies are there about 2012?
I'm not sure about books, but like the other two have said, there's the movie 2012. There's also a couple of documentaries on the History channel (assuming you have it where you are) about the astronomist Nostradamus and the Mayan calendar which predict the events of 2012, or you can just check it on the web.
