What Is The Name Of This Bbc Show

What is Merlin's last name? The Merlin from the TV show Merlin.

Interesting question…In the TV series Merlin was the son of Balinor and I don’t think we are told his surname. I guess if we were to adopt what we believe is an ancient custom Merlin would be referred to as Merlin Son of Balinor. As the series progresses we discover that Merlin is also known as Emrys; sp we could suggest Merlin Emrys as being a full name.In mythology or shall we say in Geoffrey of Monmouths ‘Histories’, we see that Myrddin Wyllt (Merlinus Caledonensis), a Northern British prophet and madman and tales of the Romano-British war leader Ambrosius Aurelianus (Welsh; Emrys Wledig) are used as the basis for the figure he called Merlin Ambrosius (Welsh: Myrddin Emrys).Myrddin Wylt had no connection with the Arthurian myth and may himself be based upon a semi-historical character known as Lalioken. In Welsh mythology Myrddin (Merlin) is seen as being a poet, bard and wise man (Wizard). Moreover since, at the time we are talking about, Strathclyde (Southern Scotland) was considered as being part of ‘North Wales’, the Caledonian mad-man prophet Lalioken may have an even stronger claim to be the Myrddin.Last point - some scholars of these mythic tales suggest that Merlin was not a name, but a title - as in The Merlin. If so not only could there have been several Merlin’s but these characters may well have been given the Bardic Title of Merlin in recognition of their status as poets, seers and wise-folk.Alan /|\

Keeping Up Appearances

Hyacinth Bucket, who insists her last name is pronounced "bouquet", spends much of her time trying to impress her neighbours and friends. She does this through boasting about her wealthy sister Violet, and by pretending to be of a more "aristocratic" class than she actually is. However, it is Hyacinth's lower-class relatives — Daisy, Rose and Onslow — who fail to fall in line with her standards, and thus she goes to great effort in keeping them hidden in order to save face.

I need the name of an old BBC America show about backyard/garden makeovers.?

The host was a young man who designed "extreme" backyard makeovers. I watched it 6 or 7 years ago, maybe, and I'm sure it is no longer on. It was on around the same time as Ground Force.

The only episode I can remember had a room in the backyard that moved back and forth on tracks. It may have moved back to reveal a hot tub (or something similar), but I can't remember. The room moving on tracks is the one thing that sticks out in my mind... I had never seen it before and I haven't seen it since.

I can't think of the name of the show... or the host... and it is really irritating me. Please help! lol

What was the name of the hilarious British prank show on Comedy Central a few years ago?

It started up a little after Jackass got pretty big but they didn't rely on stupid/painful gags, they just had sort of absurd but hilarious pranks they would pull on people. I think this .gif is from the show http://www.akenini.com/imagesfun/mini_animations/80.gif

It's been killing me being unable to think of the name!
