I don't believe it's this poem, but the idea in that one is in this one, and a lot more too.

THE HEAVEN OF ANIMALS (James Dickey)

Here they are. The soft eyes open.
If they have lived in a wood
It is a wood.
If they have lived on plains
It is grass rolling
Under their feet forever.

Having no souls, they have come,
Anyway, beyond their knowing.
Their instincts wholly bloom
And they rise.
The soft eyes open.

To match them, the landscape flowers,
Outdoing, desperately
Outdoing what is required:
The richest wood,
The deepest field.

For some of these,
It could not be the place
It is, without blood.
These hunt, as they have done,
But with claws and teeth grown perfect,

More deadly than they can believe.
They stalk more silently,
And crouch on the limbs of trees,
And their descent
Upon the bright backs of their prey

May take years
In a sovereign floating of joy.
And those that are hunted
Know this as their life,
Their reward: to walk

Under such trees in full knowledge
Of what is in glory above them,
And to feel no fear,
But acceptance, compliance.
Fulfilling themselves without pain

At the cycle’s center,
They tremble, they walk
Under the tree,
They fall, they are torn,
They rise, they walk again.

The poem anme is 'Animals' by  Walt Whitman think I could turn and live with animals, they are so placid and self-contain'd, I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition, They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins, They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God, Not one is dissatisfied, not one is demented with the mania of owning things, Not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago, Not one is respectable or unhappy over the whole earth. So they show their relations to me and I accept them, They bring me tokens of myself, they evince them plainly in their possession. I wonder where they get those tokens, Did I pass that way huge times ago and negligently drop them?

Happiness

all rights reserved.

Happiness is something we create in our mind,
It's not something we search for and so seldom find,
It's just waking up and beginning the day
by counting our blessings and kneeling to pray,
It's giving up thoughts that breed discontent
And accepting what comes as a gift heaven-sent,
It's giving up wishing for things we have not
And making the best of whatever we've got,
It's knowing that life is determined for us,
And pursuing our tasks without fret, fume or fuss,
For it's by completing what God gives us to do
That we find real contentment and happiness, too.

What is the name of this poem?

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will.
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But soon or late the man who wins,
Is the man who thinks he can.

What was the name of the first poem in the world and in which language was the poem written? The question contains a fundamental error in its assumptions, that poetry requires writing. The compendia we refer to as Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey were cobbled together from oral epics (from Greek epikos, an adjective derived from epea “words”) passed down through multiple generations of bards before being committed to writing. The South Slavic bards studied by Perry almost a century ago still passed their poetry from one generation to the next orally.Since Language is hundreds of thousands of years old, while writing is less than 6000 years old, whatever the first poem might have been, we have no way of knowing its language, or if it had a name.
