What Is The Origin Of A Carved Lord

What is inscribed on the ring in Lord of the Rings and what does it mean?

The inscription, in the Black Speech but written using an Elvish script, translates to, “One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, And in the darkness bind them.”It refers to the original purpose of the Ring, which was to discover and control all nineteen of the other rings (three for the Elves, seven for the Dwarves, and nine for Men) and through them their bearers and the entire races of the bearers. It partly worked. The nine came completely under Sauron’s control, and he even managed to keep that control after he lost the One. The seven were not so successful, as some of them were destroyed and the rest he ended up taking back from their bearers because the Dwarves were too tough for his purposes. The three were a total failure for him because Celebrimbor heard him chanting the inscription as he forged the One, and realized what he was up to. Immediately, the three Elvish bearers took off their rings before he could find them, and kept them off until after he lost the One. Apparently, he could only use it to find them if they were being used, so taking them off thwarted him completely.

How did Lord Venkateswara die?

Where did you even hear such a thing? He was never born as a child to someone. So just forget about these kinds of doubts or questions. He is Lord Vishnu himself there in Tirupati. Don’t think it is some stone carved by someone else. No sculptors behind whom (yes, it is whom not ‘what’) you see in Tirupati or Chilukur or any such places. It is the Lord Himself. That is why even during Abhishekam he sweats EVEN TODAY in Tirupati. If you want to see how Lord Vishnu really looks like, I mean his actual face and all, just go to Tirupati or Chilukur or any such places.Venkateshwara meaning:‘Vem’ = sins‘Kata’ = remove‘Eshwara’ = AlmightySo Venkateshwara means the Lord who removes us from our sins (this doesn’t mean to commit sins deliberately and fall on his feet).

What is your opinion about the 6000 year old Lord Ram and Hanuman carving found in the caves of Iraq?

“One of the major triumphs of modern archaeology was the hair-raising discoveries of Sir Leonard Woolley at Ur. Amidst the ruins of Ur, he unearthed a Ram-chapel but totally missed its relevance in world history.”I doubt this; Woolley was not in the habit of missing anything.“Ram-Sin of (Larsa) to whose memory this chapel was dedicated must have been Rama of Valmiki.”There’s no “must have been” about it.Six thousand years? Do the maths:Rim-Sin I: “Rim-Sin’s reign of Larsa started sometime around 1822 BC (in middle chronology) when he succeeded his brother, Warad-Sin. ”That’s not even close to six thousand years. As for the rock carving, I’ve seen plenty like it in the region and they’re not Vedic. No wonder archaeologists and historians in the rest of the world chuckle in derision at such claims, based on faith rather than archaeology. So where’s the archaeological report?Apologies: I have reported the account asking this question.

I received a carved elephant (stone) with a baby elephant inside. What does it mean in the Indian culture?

According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that the world is supported on eight pairs of elephants who are therefore called Lokpalas. These elephants are said to have been created by Brahma at the beginning of Creation. Guardian and holding up the earth as they are, the elephants have become synonymous as guardians. It is thus that the elephant god Ganesha is also looked upon as a guardian. A visual expression of this thought is seen in temples which always have elephant motifs at the entry as well as a living one. The living one standing at the threshold symbolizes the link between the sacred and the profane, the inner sanctum and the outside world, the relation between chaos and order, wild and tame! They are creatures who belong to both worlds. It was therefore an honour to ride these elephants. Among the immortals, the famous white elephant Airavatam is said to be the mount of Lord Indra, the king of heavens. Among the mortals kings took great care of their elephants for it is believed that the king who did not do so, would loose all that he had in his kingdom. A kingdom which had a weak royal elephant was doomed. From time immemorial, the elephant has come to symbolize strength, prosperity and wisdom.

Is Tirupati Balaji statue carved?

The ideal though believed to be self manifested, is actually carved. The truth is revealed by pradhana archakulu Mr. Ramanadekshitulu in his interview few months back. As per his words, the ideal is carved but the stone is definitely not the earthly rock. It must be a piece of meteor. He adds, he is so sure of this as the stone used to scrape pachakarpuram( white material in nama ) is changed several times where as the forehead of the ideal doesn't even have a small scar on it. Pachakarpuram is so strong & a calculated ounces of it is used every time from centuries. One can find his interview in YouTube.Butwhat ever the truth is, Tirumala is a holy place & lord Venkateswara is believed the most powerful deity in kaliyug.

Meaning:"Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle;"?

Just look at above answer for where in the bible.
As for the story... its a great one. Please read it yourself. I'm sure you would enjoy it better than if I told it.

What it means is: God is the highest power... He is my rock (A rock is symbolic of being unbeatable, here David is saying no matter what, an unbeatable God will be with him) Who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle (The main word here is trains) (train is commonly thought of as a steadying i.e "he trained the arrow on the target" here David is saying God steadys him and helps him fight better, because of his trust in God)

Hope this helps, and please read the story
God Bless
