Why is it socially acceptable for women to wear bikinis in public but not underwear?
That's how cultural dress codes work. Bikinis and underwear don’t differ much except in the cloth used, but most women would not feel dressed for the occasion if going to the beach in underwear. Would you go out in your briefs if it's too hot?I actually have a nice anecdote that contradicts my first paragraph. In the seventies in Ipanema all of us girls wore a man's brief with the brand Zazá. It dressed men pretty badly, but it did fit girls bodies awesomely, two small triangles joined by thin elastic straps. So we used underwear at the beach, men's underwear! I once answered a question “what would happen if women wore men's underwear?” Answer: “we did it already, in the seventies!” I didn't post the picture though, because the hippie girls in Bahia were topless. From then on I saw so many nudes on Quora, and not candid ones at that. So, here we are, girls from Ipanema in underwear at Praia dos Artistas beach, Bahia, Brazil, wearing briefs. I’m not in the picture. :)
Double standard of prison sentences for men and women?
there is a lot of double standards when it come to the sex's and i find it interesting how those double standards have changed over the years 40 yrs ago all the double standads were in mens favors. Do i agree with double standards no but it is what it is. male sexual predator get longer sentances for a couple of different reasons. 1) when a man rapes a women it is violent, when a women "rapes" a boy, it is completly consentual and no force is used. a women doesn't have to force anything just rub it lol. 2) it does more mental/emotional damage to a female because of society. men are looked at like hey you scored with an older women your cool. where are women are ashamed. there are other double standard that i think need to be changed like 1)divorce,parental rights, child support - all automatically go in the females favors and i think there are enought single fathers nowadays that that should not be the case, us men can raise a child as well as a women 2)domestic voilence - women have no problem hitting a man, but if you smack them back men are put in jail and looked at as scum. to me it has nothing to do with physically hurting someone. if my girl hit me, its over you will respect me as much as i respect you and thats all there is to it. stop with the hypocracy 3)cheating and untruthfulness in a relationship - women alway say men are cheaters and liars yet almost every women i know has cheated on thier boyfriends at some point (your just better at keeping it a secret 8p ) and women tend not to lie but you convinently forget to tell the whole truth (in my opnion this is the same as lieing) because you would have told us if we wouldn't have minded 4) money - women say they do not date guys cause of money but then they never date a guy who makes less then them and when they are confronted about it they say they are looking for security. in todays age were women make the about the same as men this is no excuse. a relationship is suppost to be a partnership 50/50 yet that isn't what women want, they want a man to atke care of them ok i gues i'll stop my rant now lol. but this is the truth as i see it. and i am not really upset about it (except that last one)
