What Is The Point Of Granting Temporary Status To Illegals Are They Expected To Comply And Leave

Oral Presentation on ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS?

Good work!
What do we do next?
Many want a fence built but I disagree that it would be expensive and wouldn't work anyway. Criminals have all the time in the world to figure out how to get over, under or through a barrier.
Another answerer pointed out that the illegals are enticed by businesses to come because they can get work by working cheaply and without benefits or safety considerations. What we need to do is pass a law putting the head of a company in prison for a long time for each illegal they hire. No exceptions, no early release, no excuses that 'I didn't know they worked here'. They knew.
Expand the law to include school board presidents, hospital administrators, bank presidents, landlords, credit companies, and anyone else who might benefit by having illegals around. Put a few CEO's in prison for, say 160 years, with no chance for early release or parole and within a few weeks illegals will not have ANYONE friendly to them or helping them. They will leave on their own. (Sorry Canada). Pay a reward to anyone turning in a company who is helping them. Set up a tool booth on the southern border that charges a fee of $1000 to leave the country if they do not have legal papers. They can take NOTHING with them when they leave if they were here illegally. We don't need a fence!

Ive been denied TPS (temporary protected status) What are my options from here?

Without going into too much detail, i was born in Haiti in 1990. i came to America on a travel visa when i was 8 years old in 1999. i have been on temporary protected status since 2010 (due to the earthquake that happened in Haiti) I have had to reapply for this every year, as it is only granted by a yearly basis. in 2013 i was arrested for possession of marijuana , (felony amount). after completing a pre trail diversion program, my case was dismissed, and i assumed that would be the end of it. unfortunately, after applying for tps in 2014, i was denied, and was sent a letter in regards to the removal process from the country. To conclude, my questions are, is there anything i can do to stay in the country, considering that im being removed because of a case i have done full time for? i have been given a removal hearing, but in fear that i might have been deported at said hearing, i chose not to attend.. i have no money for a lawyer, and if worse comes to worse, is there another country i can go to, as to began a new life? example Canada or somewhere not too far from my family and friends. The worse case Scenario would be getting deported back to Haiti, as it would pretty much be a prison sentence, considering how bad it is over there right now... Any information, that has a basis around this situation would be greatly appreciated... thank you.

Is it better to move to Canada as a Permanent Resident instead of staying in US on H1B?

I took this route and I’m very happy with my choice. Toronto is a great city and I love having all the peace of mind and freedoms that come with PR. I’ve spent a years on work visa’s in Singapore and the US. As for lower salaries, etc its hard to compare tax rates are lower in Toronto then in US+California also you get so much more back in terms of healthcare, great schools, parks, safety, a very positive government and a young and fast growing tech scene. In terms of the tech scene Toronto has companies like Google, Slack, Shopify, Wattpad, Ecobee and so many more. And you are always free to launch your own startup.I wrote about my experience the move and how to get Canadian PR here on the MovNorth siteI love having the freedom of PR and living in this city. After so many years it’s amazing to know that I’m free to change jobs easily, build my own startup or take a break from working. No more stamping, restrictions and visa paperwork. Our kids love being surrounded by so many parks filled with their friends. The neighborhood school is amazing and my kid will be starting the french immersion program this year. Me and my wife love our week long trips to Montreal and the food choices around here are pretty great. Also 2 year super-visa’s for my parents to come and stay. And in a couple more years we’ll apply for citizenship of our new home country. I get a lot of mail from people in the valley asking about Salaries etc. I think its more important to take a pause and list your priorities and think about how you want the next 10 years of your life to be.I wrote about my experience the move and how to get Canadian PR here on the MovNorth siteMov North
