What Is The Reason For My Boss

My boss fired me for no reason?

It was the day before Christmas Eve so of course we were very busy. This is my first job and I started working here in July. My boss asked me if I could do something because there was nobody else to do it and I told him no, it will ruin my manicure. He looked at me and told me when he tells me to do something, I need to do it. I yelled at him saying, "WHAT PART OF NO DON'T YOU ******* UNDERSTAND?! I AM NOT RUINING MY DAMN MANICURE THAT I PAID FIFTY DOLLARS FOR!" He yelled back telling me I was fired and that I can pick up my last pay check next week and after that he never wants to see me again and that he hopes my manicure was worth it. I think I was treated unfairly. Is there anyone I can talk to about this and how do I get my job back?

What reason do I give to my boss if I’m going on a day off?

Just let him know your true reason. If he is not receptive to your true reason, you might be in the wrong company.

Can my boss threaten to fire me for no reason?

i work in a restaurant, which i have been at for 6 years. i just passed a secret shopper report. i always show up to work, i do my best, the manager and i don't have any problems. except for him threatening to fire me for no reason because he's stressed out. here's what happened..

we got really busy and we don't have a lot of cooks, so the boss had to go back and help cook. this always stresses him out and puts him in a "bad" mood. the cooks messed up on an order of mine (not my fault) And the customers needed a specific item. when the rest of my food was up and ready to be taken out to the dining room, i was missing that one item. so i asked if i could have that. with all the other servers yelling back at the cooks and him for their food, i could understand why it would be stressful but don't think it warrants this.. anyway he then looks at me with this look that he gives when he is very angry and goes "you're killing me!!" so i just smirked a little and didn't say a word. it's like really? my customers need their food the correct way or you probably won't be staying open for too long if it's not a big deal to you and stressing you out too much. again i didn't say any of this or anything for that matter. he then saw that i was smirking or smiling or doing anything to "lighten" the mood, because just because he is stressed it isn't going to make me stressed. he then goes "you better watch it... or better yet let's talk about something else" and i'm like "what?" and he replies with "let's talk about the unemployment line" i then walked away without saying anything and started crying for a few minutes. not only did he ruin my self-esteem and made me feel unappreciated, but i found this threatening and very unprofessional.. and not to mention he has no grounds for terminating me... no one has ever had any issues with me and i'm a damn good worker. so ...this was a threat. then after he was done cooking and things settled down in the restaurant he was being all nice to me. and didn't say anything else about it, or bring it up again.so that shows right there that he was just all stressed out which doesn't give him a right to take it out on employees and threaten to terminate. so i just didn't talk to him the rest of the day and he didn't notice..... anyway is this ok? and what are my rights?

Having a vasectomy... what reason should i give my boss to why i am missing work?

After the procedure I am required to take 3-4 days of rest, no going to work. At this point I need to get my shifts covered and explain to my boss that I will need to take a few days off but I dont actually want to reveal that I am getting a vasectomy. What other valid excuse can I use, perhaps another medical procedure that would require a few days of missing work? It would have to be something like an operation or injury to my inner thigh or covered area (that way if someone asks to see a scar I wont be expected to show them).

I could say its for personal reasons like going on a vacation but that is frowned upon by my co-workers who need to cover me in my absence. Medical reasons are always excused though. I am worried she may ask me for a doctor's note as well.

Why does my boss always wink at me for no reason?

I work in a pub and my boss will occasionally wink at me as we walk past for no reason..... why

My boss just rudely fired me for no reason, what can I do?

I have been a very good and loyal babysitter for a family for about 2 years now. Every saturday I stay with 2 kids from 12pm-7pm. I am 20 years old, and have always proved to be a fun, yet very responsible person with the kids. I was getting ready to go over to their house yesterday when the mom called me and said (this is not exact but as much as I can remember): "You don't need to come over and stay with my children today, I won't be needing you anymore." She said it in a very angry tone with no explanation. I asked her if everything was alright and what was wrong and she just said "I'm firing you, thats what this means, please don't call here anymore." And she basically hung up after that. Now, I am racking my brain and can't think of a single thing I could've done to deserve this. What should I do? Should I stop by and try to talk to her or call?

Is a boss who is constantly yelling at you a reason to quit?

If it’s intolerable, yes, you can quit without notice in most places (US especially). However, it’s easier to find a job if you’re in one, so choose what works best for you. Sometimes if you know you’re going to go and are looking that’s enough to help you feel insulated somewhat from the yelling and just let it wash off without an emotional hit. You know you can always just up and walk out (but take your personal stuff home now so you don’t leave it behind if or when you do walk).Mean time, it can be helpful to say, “You know, I’m trying and your yelling makes me feel so jittery I will likely be worse rather than better. Is there something helpful I should know?” If there’s anyway to regain your self-respect and sometimes gain the upper hand in this situation it’s by being the more calm, unruffled and logical person in the situation. That often stops the yeller in his tracks and makes him rethink his approach. For sure, if that doesn’t work, you’re best bet is to leave… on YOUR timetable rather than just feel driven out.

How do I stop my boss from shouting at me for literally no reason? The thing is in his DNA.

Change bosses.Really, many, many folks manage who are untrained and/or temperamentally unsuited to supervision. As a direct report you are not in a position to correct that problem. You can try talking to them about it, you can try to work with HR, but in the end HR is there to keep you from suing over your manager’s behavior. The “go to moves” for HR is to train, chastise, or get rid of you.I’ve seen a whole department “trained” in interpersonal relationships, rather than addressing a single manager’s problems. The manager took the day off.Today, this is a great employment market. There is no reason to put up loud, abusive or volatile managers.

What are some fake reasons an employee can give to his/her boss for taking leaves?

If you've got benefits and are “entitled” to a personal or sick day every so often, you don't need an excuse. And if you ask for the day off beforehand, again, you don't need to have an excuse. But if you already have work that day and decide you don't want to go, like say you have a hangover or something, that's a little bit different. I've done this a couple times. I just spoke in a really croaky voice and tell them I have a fever and that I don't want to get the customers sick. maybe fake cough. Make sure you don't get too close to work though! One time I faked sick and saw one of my coworkers in a Starbucks! Luckily I don't think he saw me!
