What Is The Republican Alternative To Obamacare

What is the republican alternative to Obamacare?

and this is a serious question. The death of Obamacare would throw millions of people off their health insurance. How do the republicans plan on getting them back on something that doesn't rob them of all their money and make them pay for all their surgeries and medications out of pocket?

What do the Republicans exactly want as an alternative to ACA?

It depends on which Republicans you are talking about. If you are talking about the people in DC that claim to be Republicans then I don’t know really. If you are talking about us average working people that are actually Conservatives then it is a different story. As an example I was never interested in “repeal and replace”. I simply wanted repeal. The reason being there is only 1 group of people in the USA that were not affected by the ACA and that is the rich. Since the left believe the rich should pay their fair share they should agree with me on this. The poor were not really helped by the ACA, it did nothing to improve their lives. If we get rid of the ACA we can re-examine the healthcare system as it was and systematically define the errors and fix them. I already know the flaws and where to start, same place as with the public education system… Get the Government out of it and it will improve dramatically. Overnight.Everyone deserves to be healthy, but not at anyone else expense.

Have Republicans proposed a viable alternative to Obamacare?

Yes and No. It largely depends on how you define a proposal. It is common in politics for politicians, candidates, and other stake holders to issue things called ‘White Papers’. These are proposals usually less than 5 pages that contain lots of flowery language and several bullet points listing the highlights of the proposals. For instance, Trump’s proposal for healthcare calls for increased support for high risk insurance pools. The problem is that, these papers are light on details. Actual bills need to have the details fleshed out. How is the fed gov’t going to ‘support’ these high risk pools. Will there be some cheerleading by the president or some actual money? If money, how much for each state? Will that money be black granted to the states, or go directly to the insurance companies, or the insured as vouchers? These detailed questions haven’t been answered by any Republican for a very simple reason - they were out of power. It is easy for the minority party to say that what the majority did stinks and that they can do better. Both parties do it all of the time. However, a bill lists both winners and losers. A replacement to Obamacare specifically says what will happen to the people currently being helped by the law who will be worse off by repeal. There really is no point in focusing on the losers of a proposal while running for office. For another example, look at tax reform. The GOP has been campaigning for years that moving to a flatter tax code will result in lower taxes for each individual, but the same or more revenue for the gov’t. However, no actual bills have been written yet - just more white papers.

Why haven't US Republicans presented an alternative bill to deal with the US healthcare crisis?

Anyone who says that the Republicans haven't presented an alternative is either mistaken (most likely as far as the general public is concerned) or is lying (as is the case for the President, his administration, and the press).Representative Tom Price, M.D. has introduced legislation for the last three congressional sessions (six years, long before the ACA was introduced).Dame Nancy Pelosi refused to allow his bill to reach the floor, and since then it's been mired. His current introduction is HR2300.Price Introduces Patient-Centered Health Care Solutions

Did Republicans repeal Obamacare before having a replacement plan?

No plan. And think they can do it again. 62 times and they refuse to stop wasting our tax dollars.
