Scariest movie ever.?

As a horror fan, your gonna thank me for this. So you think you can handle some real well directed terror. Ok. I'll give you a list that will make The Exorcist seem like Sesame Street. lol

# 1. " A Serbian Film ". - This movie is well directed and was actually banned in some countries. If you can find this movie, good luck. It has a good plot and the sickest ending ever.

#2. " Salo ". - The scenes in this movie will make you feel dirty. lol

#3. "Cannibal Holocaust" - This is a very old movie, but it has alot of reviews. The animal killings are 100% real, and the film was banned in alot of countries. The Serbian Film however is worse. Lol

#4. " Visitor Q " - This is Quentin Terentinos most underrated film.

What are the scariest movies ever made?

I am a horror and thriller fan. I watch a lot of them. But for me the scariest movie is not a horror. You’ve probably heard the song One by Metallica. If you’ve seen the music clip you see they used clips from a film in the video. Because I am a curious guy I looked up the movie “Johnny Got His Gun”The movie, much like the metallica song, tells the story of a young soldier in world war 1 that gets hit by an artillery shell. He wakes up in the hospital a quadruple amputee who has also lost his eyes, ears, mouth and nose. He lost 4 of his 5 senses and the ability to move. He remains conscious and able to reason, but his wounds render him a prisoner in his own body. The movie is about him thinking, remembering his life before the war. After years he learns to communicate, using morse code. He asked to be shown to the public so people know the horrors of war. When they deny him that, he begs to be euthanized, which he is also denied. He has to stay the remainder of his life a prisoner of his own body. He can’t see, hear, speak, taste, move. He’s all alone. That is the scariest movie I’ve ever seen.

Scariest horror movie ever made?

ROCK aholic
actually I never said those films aren't scary I just said I didn't find it scary and I want to find something that is completely different from the rest of the crappy horror films and also I didn't watch the 1974 version of the Texas chainsaw massacre also people only found the exorcist scary at the time it came out and I want a film that is seen as scary in the present day not last century so you can piss off this website as your answer was no help just insulting and completely out of order as well as that you don't know crap about the word SCARY or what it means so like I said piss off this question as your views on this subject are not valid here! Have a good day

What is the scariest non-horror movie ever made?

I’d start with defining what is a horror movie. In the most universally accepted definition, a horror film should include a paranormal or unreal elements. That’s the most basic - although not specific - definition. Therefore, almost every good thriller would be an answer to this question.Having said that, a few titles came to my mind when I saw this question. Here they are.1. Snowtown MurdersAn Australian thriller directed by Justin Kurzel has been a truly blood-chilling experience to me.The film tells the real story of a serial killer in Adelaide in Australia, who aimed for “sinners”.The unease that Kurzel has created in that movie is palpable. It’s a deeply psychological film, one that creeps the hell out of you. It’s a dangerous powerhouse and shouldn’t be watched by the faint of heart (it’s extremely drastic and violent).2. BegottenImagine a film, which depicts the act of killing God, served in a black-and-white, highly surreal form. It’s insane.“Begotten” is a film that you either find mesmerizing or hideous and “unfinishable”. There is no dialogue, sometimes not even much of a sense. But I assure you that it’s as disturbing as you suspect.3. House That Jack BuiltYup, the new movie by Lars von Trier is fallibly called a horror movie. Technically, it’s a thriller - a perversely wicked one.The story shows Jack and five random homicides of his doing - one by one getting ore brutal and insane.Given a meaty role, Matt Dillon has created a sociopath I was actually scared of. “House…” is sometimes grotesque and winks at the viewer, but it is still a deeply, deeply disturbing and frightening film.4. Pink FlamingosA film about a killer drag queen. It’s the weirdest, most uncomfortable blend of comedy and crime movie I have seen.I’m a big fan of horror movies and thrillers - I’d be happy to welcome you on my blog (Cultural Hater) if you have a minute! And hope these 4 movies find their fans of non-horror.Thanks!

What are some of the scariest movie scenes ever?

This is not that the scene scared me. I had NEVER been frightened while watching a movie because they are movies. I love special effects and always have. So this scene is a favorite because it is so well done. It is one scene that does leave an indelible image in my mind. There was a remake of the movie “Thirteen Ghosts”. A very low budget movie made by William Castle. I love Castle movies because as with any Castle movie it had a gimmick that went with it when it was released which was his trademark. The remake was created by Dark Castle. It was formed in 1999 by Joel Silver, Robert Zemeckis and Gilbert Adler. The name pays homage to William Castle and they did a few remakes of some of his movies. In the remake of “Thirteen Ghosts” the make up and prosthetics used for the ghosts are excellent. in particular the ghost named “The Juggernaut”.The scene I refer to has a lawyer (who was a good guy in the original) named Ben Moss. He has led an unsuspecting family into a supposedly inherited house for a specific purpose. He walk s downstairs in the house to obtain the money left for him by his employer. As he leaves the room he encounters a ghost that has been let free. He is attempting to placate her verbally as he is backing up. He steps into the framework of a doorway which has panes of glass on both sides that slide together to close. The two sections close with incredible force. Ben has a look of surprise upon his face. Very slowly the front half of his body slides down the glass off screen leaving the audience to view the back half of his body through the glass panes. It is done incredibly well and is quite disturbing.

What is the scariest movie you have ever seen? It doesn't have to be a horror movie.

The movie that scared me most on initial viewing was In The Mouth Of Madness, directed by John Carpenter. The story follows a private investigator (Sam Neil) trying to track down the most popular author in the world, a horror novelist loosely based on Stephen King. He follows a trail of clues to a town that seems to be lifted straight from the author's horrific novels. Things get freaky and trippy, but the movie never abandons the internal logic of its core premise. This movie came out at the very end of an era in horror filmmaking in two ways. The film represents the peak and end of the line of line for practical special effects in movies. Jurrassic Park(1993) came out one year earlier, and Hollywood's transition to cheapier, lamer CGI effects was well underway. Practical special effects induce a visceral response that CGI cannot, and if you are only used to horror movies from the past 15 years you are in for treat with this oneIn The Mouth of Madness also came out right before the first Scream movie (1996) totally changed the horror landscape. After Scream, horror movies became very self aware, constantly winking at the audience and reminding us that the movie was in on the joke too. By comparison ITMOM is very earnest, unflinchingly commited to its premise. The top notch practical effects and unironic tone coupled with Lovecraftian cosmic horror to effectively scare the jaheebles out of me, and I bet it will for you too. Enjoy!
