I have used all versions of Windows from XP to 10. If you are asking between 7 and 10 i will definitely recommend windows 7. Its fast as compared to 10. User friendly.

What are 10 differences between windows 98 and windows 2000?

Windows 98:
-Runs off of DOS, giving it greater compatibility with old DOS programs but its less stable. (The DOS kernel was given up on after Windows ME).
-Uses FAT32 file system and can't read NTFS. (FAT32 has a limit of 4GB per file, and modern OSes cant format FAT32 drives larger than around 32GB.)
-Doesn't have as good of driver support for USB, etc.

Windows 2000:
-Runs off the NT kernel used by XP and later revisions of NT are used by Vista/7. (Its more stable and can run many newer programs that 98 can't).
-Uses NTFS by default but can also use FAT32 file system. NTFS is what modern computers use, but for small/old harddrives FAT32 is better.
-Has good driver support, uses XP drivers, USB drives work with it.
