Round eyes vs. almond eyes?
Hey yahoo answers :p I was wondering what kind of eye shape you guys preferred, and why. Asians tend to have more almond shaped eyes, but in my case I have one of each =.=; One of my eyes are more rounded, and the other is more almond shaped. I do my make up two different ways, one makes both my eyes look round and the other make both my eyes look more almond shaped. I think you got inspired by Piku(Deepika Padukone) or something :pTruth is not all of us have it.On the contrary we closely resemble this :-yes rosogolla (I googled the image with this spelling)(Though some people might take this joke seriously!)Most of the girls have healthy looking round,fair faces(leading to weird nicknames-shonai,tuktuki,monai etc etc).Let me deviate a bit and tell a story.The Bengali word for sugar is chini .It has it's origin from Chinese settlements in Kolkata(better known as Chinatowns).The sweet relationship between the two led to this naming of sugar in Bengali.So now comes the obvious relationship-Chinese face and bong face.People outside Kolkata often call us(mostly knowingly Chinese!)Take me for example.Tiny eyes,round face.People try to link China in my case(Yes, the chini story ;)) But both my parents are Bangals (people who came from Bangladesh and settled here).And yes it's a subset of Bengalis.So you see as I was telling variations are always there.Me and mom(both tiny eyed) and very round faced:DSo no not at all we are quite opposite than described and we absolutely love our round faces and bright red round bindis.
Why do south east asians have big eyes?
Just to get this straight, I'm not racist, I'm wondering. And I'm trying not to generalize but I'm more so thinking about the majority. Now my question is why south east Asians have big eyes? Fillipinos, Cambodians, Vietnamese(Which isn't quite often mentioned, I dunno why because a lot of them do have large eyes), etc. As opposed to most Eastern Asians that have smaller eyes. Did something happen along the way? Evolution? Mixing? Fairy God Mothers?
What does this mean: The two men stared with round bucolic eyes?
Not stupid at all in my opinion. The whole two sentences from Death on the Nile: "The two men starred with round bucolic eyes and slightly open mouths. A big scarlet Rolls Royce had just stopped in front of the local post office." The scenario actually gives a clue. Bucolic is "of or pertaining to shepherds; pastoral." or "of, pertaining to, or suggesting an idyllic rural life.". The two men are portrayed as pastoral, simple, easy going farmers or shepherds. She's even given the a slightly daft or surprised expression by giving them "slightly open mouths". They are staring at the "big scarlet Rolls Royce" with the eyes of men that hasn't seen anything like it in their lives on the countryside.

well I'm a girl, just to let you know, but i get compliments the most on my big eyes. i like to play them up with mascara and eyeliner, but even bare, guys say they are really pretty. if you're with a guy try having you're head down and looking up at him so he can get the full effect of your big gorgeous eyes!
How do you get bigger eyes?
Small almond shaped eyes are like having your very own snow and sun glasses. It is awesome.Actually Scandinavians mostly have very small eyes too.Big round eyes are not a good idea when the world is covered in snow.So why get bigger eyes? It will just protect you less.But surgery is the only way, if you really want to change yourself.
Why do all koreans think anyone with big eyes are pretty?
something I really dont get, like, they say everybody with bigger eyes and bigger nose are pretty I know asians too much obsessed with big eyes, small face, big nose bridge some people they consider pretty isnt pretty but....how can they lose their sense of beauty??? and people who dont have big eyes are not even considered pretty this is silly Im talking about big eyes in asian sense, which is pretty common in the us, or other place I know that big eyes look more round and so on...but korean tv celeb's eyes arent that big plus many of them look like girl next door/country bumpkin and ppl are crazy about small faces (which is average face size of white/black/latinos) I mean huh small faces are pretty?
What kind of East Asian men are good-looking in your eyes? And why?
I am not Asian, but I find Asian men incredibly appealing, as far as both internal and external characteristics or attributes go.Asian men can have some of the best bone structure, hair, skin, physique- and they age incredibly well. They have often a great balance between softness and strong lines. Symmetry in the face is fairly common. Their eyes can look very sincere with those who tend to genuinely smile with their whole face. They also largely really care for their appearance and health.There are some very handsome, no actually beautiful- almost perfectly beautiful, images posted already on other answers. I do concur.I will however provide a few images that reflect my own personal preferences. They may be very influenced by my being raised in America.I like wider, angular faces often, usually around the eyes. With great bone structure small or round eyes matter very little. A strong brow line- it makes people look serious, intelligent and discerning. Great, thick hair allowing a little disheveled elegance is very nice. I like carefree and independent men. I also am drawn towards a more youthful and earthy expression of masculinity, with attributes that imply some genuine softness or vulnerability- that's usually around the eyes and lips I guess. Wonderful smiles are very important- I guess I like them wide. Perfect features or perfectly balanced features in an ideal, picturesque type of way isn't a must. Healthy but not flawless skin.
