Rules regarding Cabin Baggage Allowance:· As per Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines, passenger can carry maximum 7 Kg per person per flight i.e. only one piece is allowed that should not more than 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm.· The dimensions of the checked Baggage must be less than 158 cm i.e. 62 inches in overall dimensions (Length + Width + Height).· Passengers with Infants: Allowed to carry an additional piece of Hand baggage whose weight must not be more than 7 Kg.· Hand Baggage Must fit properly in the overhead bin.Rules Regarding Checked Baggage Allowance:In case of Checked-in baggage, passengers are allowed to carry luggage up to 15 Kg and the total weight of the checked-in baggage should not exceed the limit of 22 kg.

That depends on a lot of factors in india-Sector - domestic or international. The first one has limit of 15 KGS while the latter has limit of 23 KGS for checked in luggage and 7 KGS for cabin bag. The size of the bag is 42 inches for checked in bag and UpTo knee length for cabin bagClass - economy, business or first. Economy has 2 bag limit of above sizes in international flight and 1 bag limit in domestic. The limit increases with upper class as I know that first class is entitled to 4 bags of 50kgs each and business class is allowed 2 or 3 bags of 40 KGS each.Airline - budget or full service. SpiceJet is a budget airline which allows only hand bags as free luggage. For everything else you have to pay just like JetBlue in USA charges for luggage according to number of bags after a limit. On the other hand air India or jet allows limit on weight after which additional weight has to be paid for just like any other airline in the world.Cumulative factors - a mix of all three. Please check with airline as well coz policy changes according to demands, flight capacity and season of traveling.Example - I have traveled with 4 bags, 2 checked in and 2 cabin bags during off season in Emirates in their A380 but when 777 is in service that too with full bookings for a route, they don't allow this kind of luggage. And when students leave for USA during July August, some airlines provide 3 bags limit as compared to 2 at normal times.Thus, make a call at service centre of the airline and confirm the current policy with them.
When carrying a garment bag on the plane, is it permissible to have metal hangers in there?

Can I bring two laptops on board a flight?
Yes you can. There’s no restriction on number of laptops one can carry on flight. I always carry at least two (one is for work and another one is personal). The only problem is we have to take out two of them from our bags and keep in two separate bins :) except that there is no rule or regulation for domestic carriers at least.If you travel on international airlines, they do have some weight restrictions (max 7kgs) for personal items apart from check in bags. When I travel from India, everytime I faced this issue, when I fly from US to India no one really weighed my backpack, only weighed the carryon and said ok. But when I come from India, they always weigh backpack and carryon together and object everytime for overweight. So be careful in those scenarios.
