Is 'Mortal Kombat' (yes, based on the game) the worst movie ever made?
To me, it’s bad enough to be awesome. It’s the quintessential cheesy 90s action flick. And when it was good, it was surprisingly good. I think they made a lot of solid choices with the casting.The problem with game-based movies - and I’ve addressed this elsewhere - is that most games, at least from back then, are about the gameplay first and whatever storyline exists in them second. You just can’t remove the gameplay element and expect whatever’s left to remain standing.They did what they could. The second one was horrible but it has a few redeeming qualities, at least for me. At least the first one didn’t suffer from the problem of squeezing so damn many of the characters into the movie - it was a rather tasteful blend of the first two games.
How do I get my mom to watch the first pokemon movie with me?
After convincing her to play pokemon go, she's been loving it. Since she's enjoying pokemon so much, I've been wanting to introduce her to other parts of the franchise, and I think the first movie is a classic and a good way to start since she shies away from standard video games. The problem is, she doesn't really enjoy cartoons unless they're made by Disney, and has automatically said no to any other animated movies and shows I've suggested to her in the past. How do I convince her to give this movie a shot?
