What Is This Dessert Called Red Beans Green Tea Shaved Ice

What are some nice Japanese desserts to make?

Daigakuimo is a candied sweet potato.. Its really easy to make and i think its yummy

* 1 pound sweet potatoes
* 1/3 cup sugar
* 1 tsp soy sauce
* 2 tbsp water
* 1 tsp sesame seeds
* Vegetable oil for frying

you wanna cut up the potatoes into bite size pieces and heat up the oil in a sauce pan.
when the potatoes are brown turn off the heat.. and in a separate pan (lo heat) mix the water soy sauce and sugar..let it melt and pour it over the potatoes theeeen sprinkle the seeds. all done :D

you can even add some honey if youd like.

an other thing you can make is Ujikintoki Kakigori
its basically shaved ice but..its yummy..

So youll need
* 1 tsp green tea powder
* 2 tsp granulated sugar
* 2 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
* 2 Tbsp anko
* * ice cubes or a block of ice

Dissolve the green tea powder and granulated sugar into 2 Tbsp of hot water.
Cool the syrup and put it in a small serving bowl. Shave the ice over the green tea syrup, you can just run a knife over it..if you wanna be safer it wouldn't be so bad if you just crushed the ice..
Top it with the anko. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the ice.

What is the best dessert other than fruits and icecream that you suggest as a must try?

My stomach is growling just from thinking about food, but you must go to the Taiwanese night markets and (literally) try everything there. Some highlights: Shaved ice/snow iceI LOVE shaved ice- especially the mango and green tea kinds. There's a pretty good shaved ice shop at the Shilin night market called 辛發亭冰品名店, but you can basically go to any Taiwanese store and buy absolutely delicious shaved ice at a super cheap price. (SORRY, I don't know if this is considered ice cream or not)Pictured: Snow ice (notice how the consistency of the ice is different than the crushed ice pieces in shaved ice)2. Bubble milk tea!I know you can buy bubble tea (almost) everywhere in the world now. But, hey, why not try bubble tea where it first originated? Bubble tea has an entirely different taste in Taiwan- trust me...... the "bubbles" are just the right chewiness and the "tea" part contains just the right amount of sugar. YUM3. BREAD/BAKED GOODSAHH I love. These include egg tarts, pineapple cake, assorted bread (green tea, red bean filled bread....), taro buns, sponge cakes, sun cakes (太陽餅)! There's so many varieties of baked goods, I won't even try to list them all.ALSO I'm going to put mochi into this category (even though they aren't baked) because you can find them in almost every single bakery) :)Literally everything in Taiwan is delicious- you should definitely go visit (try not  to gain 10 pounds :-) ).Photographs are not mine- they are all taken from Google.

What is your country's best dessert?

Here are some of the desserts I consider to be some of the best from South Korea.This is called yukwa it’s made with glutinous rice flour and either grain syrup or honey it’s a dessert that has been deep fried. It’s very airy once you bite into it and slightly crispy and it’s not incredibly sweet. It’s colored naturally and also it’s vegetarian dessert-like snack that goes well with teas.For modern desserts it’s patbingsoo which is made with either shaved ice or ice-cream and it has a bunch of toppings like red bean, fruit and rice cake bits. There are lots of varieties of bingsoo including melon bingsoo.

What are some good side dishes for jambalaya?

Make cheddar/jalapeno cornbread muffins. Make your favorite cornbread mix but do the following substitutions.
Add a can of cream corn rather than the liquid called for on the package.
Dice up 1 or 2 jalapeno peppers add that to the mix.
1 Cup of shredded cheddar cheese, divided. Add about 3/4 cup to the mix and sprinkle the rest on top prior to baking.
These are "killer" cornbread muffins. If you don't want to do muffins make it in a cast iron skillet or a 9X9 pan. Just as good.
The peppers and the cream corn make the corn bread nice and moist. And the cheese gives it a little something extra.
A Side salad should do it.
I usually think of the jambalaya as a one pot dish not really needing a side dish to go with it.

for dessert: If you like bananas.
Melt some butter in a fry pan, add some sugar when the sugar is melted add 2 bananas that have been sliced in half lengthwise. Lightly brown the bananas. Adding liquor at this point is optional. orange, rum, or your favorite would be good. Caution adding liquor to a hot pan by the stove though.
Serve the bananas with some vanilla ice cream. Pour the butter sugar mix over the top of the ice cream.
