Is the childs tea pot set I have Kewpie? "Japan" is carved in back of teapot, so I'm confused.?

The first Kewpie's were produced in Germany and were designed by American Artist Rosie O'Neill', There are called all bisque dolls. They were first made in Germany and they had a paper label on the tummy. there are as well other differences from the German line made for her. She as well produced a paper doll line to which were very cute too. People just loved these cute little figures so they were made into all kinds of things beside dolls. Like your tea set.

The reason we started buying dolls and items from Japan was WWI IN ABOUT 1915. At that time we did not buy from Germany for our dolls they came from Japan and we started making our own dolls and thing in our own factories and even in Canada, where we did iem mold exchanges. The rights for reproducing these were sold many times over and still reproduced today in many forms. All types of items. Yours will be old 1915 plus/ I hope this helps

this is from Doll reference to give you some history
1909 + Kewpie, 2 1/2 - 12" tall, first ones were all bisque and made by German manufacturer's J.D. Kestner and others and may bear their company marking.

All composition Kewpie's have a red paper heart label on chest: Kewpie Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., or Kewpie Design Pat. No. 43680 Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., Kewpie Des. & Copyright by Rosie O'Neill, some are signed on the foot "O'Neill", otherwise they are unmarked.

Kewpie dolls have side glancing eyes, pursed closed mouth, molded painted top knot hair and one side wisp on each side of head, jointed at the shoulders, legs are molded together. Cameo thru Borgfeldt distributed Kewpies from 1922 on.

What does the mark O.M.C. JAPAN on the bottom of old kitchen wares?

I'm only guessing, but I know that the supermarket chain Daiei uses OMC as a brand name for its original products (OMC stands for Orange Members Card, which in turn comes from an in-house shopping card they used to have). So if your teapot is not a luxury item, that might be what the mark means.

Is it legal in Japan to carry a sword in public?

No it isn't. In fact, the traditional Japanese sword is all but banned in Japan. Only a very small number of certified individuals are permitted to own a live blade. All of this goes back to the disarmament of Japan after WW2.But, you may say, what about practitioners of kenjutsu, iaido and other traditional sword arts, can't they have swords? Well, high ranking practitioners are, indeed, often permitted to own swords although they cannot carry them around in the street. Most practitioners of the sword arts, however, are only permitted to own and use blunt aluminium alloy blades. If the police catch you with a steel sword in Japan, they will seize it on the spot, there is really no tolerance for swords being carried in public at all. Even an aluminum iaito must be carried wrapped in a proper sword bag at all times and cannot be visibly identifiable as a weapon.Japanese policing is very strict when it comes to carrying weapons. The general rule of thumb is no weapons of any kind in any public place.

How did Chinese culture spread to Japan?

Chinese culture didn't spread in Japan but Japan culture spread in Europe and US since the last 2 centuries starting from Van Gogh painting based on art pieces unique in Japan. Art painting eventually evolved to the first pokemon game on the 90’s and somehow it reached overseas. This culture was bought by traveller's who come to Japan specially to collect the old games but there is budha castles dating more than 2000 that was bring from China. Mostly of the sculptures of the past was different from China depicting demons or nature. The presence of Japan is also noticed on pop music where Japan KORG, Yamaha, Roland and Casio spread the instruments used by Duran Duran or even Phil Collings on the 80’s. Chinese language set was bring to Japan 2000 years ago but in Japan we have at least 3 writing system used that is not common in China that is Hiragana, Katakana and Romaji. The set of characters imported from China is called Kanji. The other thing that is unique in Japanese writing is the presence of the emoticons on the Japan character sets that evolved to be commonly used on cellphones. Movies in China was based on martial arts while in Japan it was based in super heroes from the other planet like the Ultraman, Ultraseven and Ghozilla. Food is also totally different in Japan and it is sushi, ramen and white rice. Usually it is less oilly than the Chinese food.

Why has there never been a Godzilla movie set in Feudal Japan?

Well, there’s one set in feudal Korea. Please, meet Pulgasari:SYNOPSIS:Please, be aware of potential spoilers ahead. In feudal Korea, during the Goryeo Dynasty, a king controls the land with an iron fist, subjecting the peasantry to misery and starvation. An old blacksmith who was sent to prison for defending his people creates a tiny figurine of a monster by making a doll of rice, and before dying asks the gods of earth and sky to make his creation a living creature that protects the rebels and the oppressed. When the figurine comes into contact with the blood of the blacksmith's daughter, the creature springs to life, becoming a giant metal-eating monster who the blacksmith's daughter names Pulgasari, which is the name of the mythical monster his father used to mention as an eater of iron and steel. After much suffering, the peasants form an army, storm the palace of the Governor and kill him. The evil King becomes aware that there is a rebellion being planned in the country, and he intends to crush it, but he runs into Pulgasari, who fights with the peasant army to overthrow the corrupt monarchy. What is single life like for japanese people in japan??

i read how there are very little people in japan getting married or even having sex. they are most focused on other things. i use instagram and follow alot of young japanese people and what i notice from the youth of japan is that they seem to be more focused on their type of lifestyles instead of looking for love. its very easy to see japanese people with large group of friends but rarely actually dating. one time i spoke to a japanese girl and she got awkward when i asked about love relationships as if showing "thats not a thing here" . i even learned that romanticism in japan wasnt even a thing until europeans started coming to japan and introducing their culture to them. so does anyone know (someone japanese or visited japan) what is the lifestyle like in Japan of the the single japanese youth?

Im looking for romance anime set in fuedal japan NOT inuyasha?
