What Is This On My Lip

What is this bump on my lip?

I have this little bump on my lower lip right in the middle. What is it? I was born with it, so it obviously isn't a cold sore. I'm really self conscience about it though and I'm thinking of getting it removed, but I just wanted to find out what it is. I used to have a friend with the same thing, but she didn't know what it was either.

White dots on my lips?

You could have two different conditions. The small white dots of the upper lip are probably what are known as Fordyce granules. These are tiny sebaceous (oil) glands that are found to one degree or another in 9 out of 10 adults. They are perfectly normal.

The "chapping" at the corners of your mouth, also known as angular cheilitis, could be caused by a mild yeast infection. The yeast is called Candida albicans, and it is not related to the yeast that is used for baking (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) or brewing (Saccharomyces carlsbergensis). More information about oral yeast infections can be found at the website http://aaomp.org

My lip is stuck in my braces. What should I do?

Ouch....I had that happen to me a few times when I had braces (trust me, when they take off the braces it was really worth the pain) If your lips are really stuck to the braces then you should head to your dentist imediatlly to get them unstuck before they either get more stuck or you injure yourself. Plus, they shouldn't have gotten stuck so that means they did something wrong with the braces and you need to go back to get them checked out agian so they can fix it.

Poison ivy on lip, help!!!?

Oh, how I feel for you! I've had poison ivy before but never on my lip.

Natural emu oil is likely the best and it comes in a wonderful lip balm, if you can find it a drug or health food store. If you can't locate it, you can buy it on-line at several different places but I found this one for you:

How to Treat Poison Ivy Why Emu Oil?
Emu oil is a completely safe, 100% natural oil well known for its healing and soothing properties. It's a natural sunburn treatment that promotes healing, helps stop itching due to insect bites or rashes, and heals chapped lips and cracked, dry skin.

It's about as natural and effective product you'll be able to find but there many others available, I just can't vouch for them.

On the other hand, if you'd care to try a home-made remedy that many people swear by, here's an option:

Use of aloe vera juice
Rub alcohol to the affected area, then rinse it with water and later wash with soap and water. Wet the infected area and rub plain table salt on it, this will not only relieve the victim but also stop further spread. Rub the inner side of a banana peel on the rash. This will help you to relieve itching. Place the infected area under running water. This will wash away histamines which cause itching of skin. Pour 3 cups of oats into warm water and soak the infected area into it. Simultaneously rub the affected area. Doing this will relieve you of itching. Mix 1/4 cup of bleach with 3/4 cup of warm water and apply to the affected area using a washcloth. This will kill the poison within 2 to 3 days. Apply aloe vera juice over the affected area, this will cool and provide instant relief.

Good luck!!!!!! :)

How to get rid of a burn mark on my lip fast?

Apply a dollop of aloe vera gel on area every time the previous dollop has soaked into your skin. Aloe heals any outer irritation like burns or zits. Using this method could take as long as 2 days to go away to as little as two hours to go away.

Good luckerz!!=]

I have bumps inside my lips. What is it?

From Patient InformationBumps on the LipsThese could be normal structures in this area, such as minor salivary  gland openings or little yellowish-white oil glands called Fordyce  granules, which are tiny sebaceous (oil) glands that are found to one  degree or another on the upper lip and inner cheeks of 9 out of 10  adults. They are harmless.Mucoceles or mucus duct cysts are usually found on the inner lower  lip. They are caused by the disruption of the tiny ducts (tubes) that  carry the mucus from the minor salivary glands in the lips to the  surface of the mouth. Trauma can cut these ducts, resulting in the mucus  spilling into the tissues under the lining of the mouth, producing a  soft painless bump. These usually will not heal on their own; however,  excision can lead to the appearance of more mucoceles. If anything persists and grows, see a doc, especially if they ulcerate, it would be bad to miss oral cancer the incidence of which is on the rise
