What Is Trypophobia And Why Am I Scared To Google It

Do I have trypophobia if I’m not scared of holes but the trypophobia test videos on YouTube make me feel cold and shivery?

I don’t know.I hate those videos on youtube because they are just legitimately revolting. They are wounds, gashes, infections and just filthy wounds. that’s pretty much all they are, filthy infected wounds. As a human being, you are instinctively disgusted and revolted by a infectious wound, because…well, nature wants to make sure YOU don’t get sick or die from whatever it is. That is normal, healthy, and smart. For some reason, alot of people on youtube, get off on showing their dirty, unwashed infections on youtube just to get a reaction. And will find ANY label to put them under. Holes, trypophobia, infections, strong, whatever. If you can look at a sponge, or woodpecker holes in a tree, or swiss cheese, and feel nothing, then you don’t have it. If you look at some 12 day old, infected rattlesnake bite on the rotting-off leg of some trailer park chick who hasn’t bathed in 5 days, and don’t feel sickened, then something is very, very broken with you.

When did you realize you had trypophobia?

Once upon a time I was a hyperactive, rambunctious, adventure seeking child. Besides the occasional freightening paranormal movie, I generally didn't have any immediate identifiable fears. I didn't understand what it was like to have a phobia. For example claustrophobia is the fear of small spaces and having no escape. This is something that makes sense, I could understand why it would be discomforting. But it's not something that I legitimately feared and actively attempted to avoid.Over the years I finally understood. I know EXACTLY what it's like to have a seemingly irrational fear. As a kid I would stare at my mothers decorative display.Notice anything offputting about it?Image retrieved from: pier1.comI can't help but stare at clustered patterns. What happens when I do the aforementioned?Narrowed visionBreathing intensifiesNauseaI have an inherent need to destroy the imageIt wasn't until many years later that I came across articles on the phenomena. I'm no expert but it's believed to be an evolutionary visceral reaction to identify potential danger.I would like to mention that I don't necessarily consider it a 'fear', because I can easily withstand the sight of various cluster/hole patterns. Having said that it makes me feel lethargic, entranced, dizzy and disgusted simultaneously.I'll leave you with my final words of wisdom surrounding the topic:"DEATH TO ALL POMEGRANATES"

Is trypophobia even real?

I am not a doctor where i can justify the condition of phobias but from my personal experience ..I feel that yes it is real…whenever I see the irregular pattern of cluster I feel like I am suffering from fever .. Suddenly I will get goosebumps and at that point nothing can be more torturing than this…when I just feel this I suddenly get unexplainable feeling…So yes fr me it is real .

Trypophobia- fear of holes in skin?

Recently I googled Trypophobia, and I looked at the google images, and I saw the pictures of holes in people's skin (with those weird things inside them), and know I keep seeing the images in my mind. It makes me want to vomit, I can't stand it!!! It is making my skin crawl right now. Do I have trypophobia? And are those pictures real? What could make that happen to someone's skin?

Please, I really need to know.

Am I Trypophobic? Read on.?

Ever since I was a little kid, honeycombs and bubbles would freak me out. Im 17 now and was browsing Reddit when I saw a picture of a bunch of holes and such with the caption "A Trypophobes worst nightmare" I nearly rage exited. I google searched it and all of it made sense. But not all of the pictures freaked me out. It was just the ones of honeycombs, air bubbles, and the holes in the skin. I feel like bot flys are all over me any time I think about it. It freaks me the hell out. Ive refused to sit at a desk at school because the desk had little holes in it. Is there an extent to it or does it depend on how afraid you are to be trypophobic?
