What Is Up With My Head

My neck feels like it can't hold up my head?

Since it hurts to lie down, you may want to try sleeping sitting up, with some pillows/towels to support your head. And it's kind of like having whiplash; your neck muscles are weak, which means you might benefit from a neck brace. Which means a trip to the doctor.

Another thing I would suggest for the inflammation is an ice pack, 20 minutes at a time, several times a day. Just don't put the ice or ice pack directly on your skin.

Head feels numb when i wake up?

simple answer for a complex question. this sounds like you are having nerve issues and can usually be solved by seeing a chiropractor for minor adjustment

How can you come up with a good melody in your head?

Most good melodies are incredibly simple. If you played them on a piano, without anything else, they probably wouldnt sound like much. But those melodies are singable. That should tell you something. For that reason, I would say use your voice to come up with a melody. You can strip the melodies from your favorite songs and examine them to see if there are any similarities - but I suspect that, even if you examined them in theory, they’d have that certain, indefinable ‘something’ that make them special.Play a chord progression progression in the background and see what comes to mind. Also, the lyrics will have an emotional content which will guide the melody.Bottom line is that it’s an art. The more you practice it, the easier it becomes.

Why does my head hurt after vomiting?

Throwing up puts a LOT of pressure on your head......that could be the cause of your headache worsening. Rest as much as you can, and take on over the counter pain reliever such as Tylenol or Motrin. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, also, as dehydration can worsen a headache and throwing up makes you likely to be dehydrated.

When I roll my eyes up, my head hurts?

With the ac on you can chill your neck muscles a bit, especially during the night, so that the muscles will tighten up a bit to preserve body heat. It's having the neck muscles tightened up that can cause your pain. The muscles go to the top of your head for its movements. The nerves for your eyes go to the back of your head passing close to the neck muscles. When you roll your eyes up they are pressing into the muscles which would cause some pain. Freeing up your neck muscles would release the tight ones that the nerves would press into to stop your pain and here's how to free them up:
Neck:
Place your hands behind your head so your fingers meet in the middle of your neck. Press into the neck with a moderate pressure and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your head as far as you can, then remove the pressure from the muscles but continue holding your head down for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Why does my head throb when I stand up?

Fatigue from maybe lack of sleep, dehydration from not enough liquid intake, malnutrition from a poor diet, excessive use of a smartphone or computer can cause eyestrain affecting your brain, there are many things. Anywhere from sitting down for too long to stress to cancer. what i would suggest is drink lots of water, get good sleep at night, eat your fruits, grains, veggies, and proteins, and get some easy excersize like going for a short 10-30 minute walk every day. Cut down the use of electronics and relax for about half an hour a day to relieve the stress and built up tension in your body. and dont get up too fast if youv been sitting down for too long :)

What if I made this world up in my head? Am I going insane because of thoughts like this?

[Edit:OK, I just realised: I did not see the sub-headline of the question in my question feed and I just answered the best I could think about it. However, in order to answer the question properly I would have had to read the sub-headline which talks about anxiety. My answer for anxiety: Please go seek professional help.](1) The question is: does this thought cause you anxiety? If it does, you should probably seek professional help. Anxiety can be get rid of through psychotherapy as well as using anxiolytic medication.(2) If you are not anxious about it, scientifically speaking, consider this: actually, the world is nothing but a continuous hallucination in your brain. What we perceive of the world has very little to do with the actual structure of reality. Ask any biologist. They will confim.(2a) This does not resolve the question whether there is an outside reality apart from your mind. Scientists would definitely subscribe to that. Reality exists. You exist. What you perceive of reality on the other hand …(3) I believe maybe your question is a bit more personal than that. (If you think that the world is only in your head, and that also the world as you experience it is a very bad place to be in, then I assume you may be suffering from paranoia.) Let us restate: what if this world is existing in your head only? Why is everything so definitely out of control? Why is there pain, suffering, war?The only reasonable answer is that apparently, there are things in your head that are out of your control. This what is usually thought of as “out of my control” is the outside world. This is how we define the real world: this which is not under my control. So according to this logic, there must be outside forces and events out of your control, and as this is the definition of “the world” there must be a world out there.

Water from hose went up nose now my head hurts?

my brother thought it would be funny to point the hose right at my face while we were swimming in the pool. The water was coming pretty fast and he pointed it right at my nose and a lot of water entered my nose and I mean a lot of water. I told him to stop and he kept doing it and more water came in my nose and filled my throat with water and it also felt like the water came in my brain is that possible like the water entering my nose and some going to the brain. Now my head hurts and my nose hurts and I been having a bad headache since then.

If moving your head up and down to say yes is called a nod, what is it called when you move your head from side to side to indicate no?

Call it a neck exercise. If you want to have a cool word for it like a “nod,” call it a “sternocleidomastoid-lateral-rotation.”So to summarize, moving your head up and down = nod. Moving it side to side = sternocleidomastoid-lateral-rotation. Remember that.
