What Is Worse For You 5 Big Macs Or 1 Cigarette

Are cigarettes really that bad for you?

I mean, let's think about it. We all know that smoking 2-4 packs a day is bad for you long term. But I don't see people getting mad at parents for letting their children eat McDonald's or drinking soda. I honestly think that someone who eats oone big mac a day has ten times more of a risk than dying tha a pack a day smoker. Primarily because it's been proven. Pack a day smokers really aren't that suseptable to disease, whereas daily fast food consumers have a 40% risk of diabetes.

What's worse, a pack of cigarettes a day or one milligram of Xanax a day?

A pack of cigarettes a day is worse.

There are no 'recorded deaths' from cigarettes, Big Macs, or Hot Pockets?

what im trying to argue is their is no direct death.....as in you don't have a cigarette and die. Therefore you could argue their are no "recorded deaths." I've even heard Marijuana smoke contains even more carcinogens than tobacco.

a large amount of People die from heart disease but you never hear "number of deaths every year from McDonalds"...Its just different language. People die from lung cancer and we say they died from Cigarettes...whats the difference?

What is more dangerous: a pack of cigarettes per day or a Big Mac for every meal?

tl;dr cigarettes, because of its adI just saw this video last week on Yahoo!Science Teacher Gets Surprising Results from McDonald's Diet | KCCI - Des Moines Videos - Yahoo ScreenHe eat McDonald's for a month(yes Big Mac and Sundae are included on the diet) and walk for 45 minutes every day. As long as you keep the total daily intake of 2000 calories. In the other hand, cigarettes will kill you. No matter how far you walk for a day.Early this year, Indonesia goverment released a new regulation for cigarettes ad.By this image below, there is a big billboard in Jakarta showing a man smokes a ciggarete accompany by two demons. How can McDonalds kick me out for using an electronic cigarette in the restaurant?

I was in McDonalds and was smoking my electronic cigarette after I ate. anyway some stupid woman started yelling at me that my smoke was harming her kids (as they ate bigmacs and fries and were very overweight) and as you (hopefully) know its just water vaper, not smoke so it is legal to use anywhere in America. Anyway the night shift manager came over and told me I had to leave because smoking was against there policy, after I explained that I was not smoking the manager told me to leave because they do not allow electric cigarettes in their restaurants, after calling McDonalds corporate number and asking I found out that electric cigs are indeed allowed to be used inside their locations. So how can a manager kick me out for breaking no law and not violating an established store rule? (she said if i did not leave she would call the police). isn't that discrimination?

Is 2 cigars a month bad for you?

ABSOLUTELY not. If you smoke once a week, it is not bad for you. Alright look, these are the real facts, not the hyped up stuff from the internet. True, one cigar = like 40 cigarettes but you do not inhale. That is the part about athletic performance. You do not inhale. Therefore, it doesn't affect your performance (on the basis you are not an olympic athlete. IF you are in serious training for the olympics or some ultramarathon, it will probably not be ok with your coach). True, you will have a slight increase in mouth cancer. But, honestly, it really is not that great unless your family is predisposed to it.

Cigar smoke is not very addicting, other then the fact that it is enjoyable. It, honestly, is like drinking a soda.

Sigmund Freud died from smoking cigars. But he smoked 20-25 a day. Yes, A DAY. He smoked for decades (around 500+ cigars a month) and died at around 70. But, anything done 20-25 times a day will kill you much faster. Imagine drinking 20-25 sodas a day. You will die of diabetes or other sugar related diseases MUCH faster. Imagine eating 20-25 big macs a day. Again, your obesity will kill you much faster then cigars.

Smoking a cigar is just like eating a big mac or drinking a soda (probably healthier). Every once in a while won't hurt you. it isn't the best thing for your body, but it isn't like smoking cigarettes.

How much cigarettes per day harms dangerously?

Even smoking one cigarette a day is harmful and unhealthy compared to not smoking at all. Smoking cigarettes is an exposure that is harmful and there is a dose response relationship that goes from no cigarettes, to very small amounts to much higher amounts, such that with increasing smoking, the harmful effects increase. Inhaling smoke of any kind can be harmful to your body, when smoking cigarettes there is the added toxins of the nicotine and other materials used in the manufacturing of cigarettes (such as pesticides) that are inhaled. These toxins cause damage in the lungs and arteries and this is noticeable even smoking as little as one cigarette per day.

What's healthier smoking a cigarette or eating McDonald's?

Eating a McDonald's meal is in no way more dangerous than smoking a cigarette, in fact, one McDonald's meal will not affect your health that much. If you eat McDonald's 5 times a week, that's bad, but one greasy meal every once in a while will not kill you. Cigarettes, however, are addicting and contain cancer-causing chemicals, not just fat and grease, so I'd rather eat a big mac than smoke a cigarette, health-wise.

Which is more harmful - smoking cigarettes everyday or eating fast food everyday?

There has never been a formal long term study conducted to know. It’s not to say that it couldn’t happen.Cigarettes, we know, have carcinogens. This is basically poison.Fast food varies from country to country. If you are consuming it in the USA, you are likely to be consuming processed meats and other processed foods. They to are chock-full of chemicals, carcinogens and sugar/carbs, which has a metabolic impact. If you consume three McDonald’s hamburgers, fries and a soda, even diet, for one meal per day, versus smoking one cigarette per day, it’s likely they are both equally as bad for you. The problem with cigarettes is that one isn’t going to kill you. Multiple cigarettes in a day, over the course of a few days , will destroy your cells. But the same is true with most fast food options, too.
