For this year’s Oscars? Either Mahershala Ali or Viola Davis.Both of them did a lot more to express gratitude to the shoulders they were standing on to win their award, and to acknowledge the process. Viola Davis was a lot more poetic and literary about it, talking about stories and August Wilson, Mahershala Ali was more about the process, with thanking the teachers who helped him become the actor he is.They just rang as so much truer than Casey Affleck and Emma Stone, who were both pretty standard (though Emma Stone’s thing about the hugging was sweet). They thanked their teams, their family and friends, the people on the productions… basically, their speeches could be composited into a super reel of Oscar acceptance speeches)

Which actor or actress had the best performance in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming?

I thought Michael Keaton was brilliant. We’re used to seeing him playing the good guy. Even when he was the villain in Beetlejuice, he was anything but menacing. He was able to take a Spider-Man character that was campy and play him as one of the best villains that the MCU has presented so far.However, I think the best performance all around was Tom Holland. He was able to play both Peter AND Spider-Man. Previous depictions the character were played by actors who were either good Spider-Mans but poor Parkers, or vice versa. Tom nailed them both. I think it’s also worth saying that he is a young actor with a very limited repertoire, but he was able to hold his own alongside veteran actors like RDJ, Michael Keaton, and Marisa Tormei.Of course this is my opinion and people are free to disagree, but I hope I’ve been able to provide reasons that support my claim.
