What's your favourite animated movie? Which of the Disney princesses would you be best friends with?

I love Quora "lite."Finding Nemo is my favorite animated movie. (I'm a scuba diver.)I'd like to be friends with Ariel from "The Little Mermaid." According to my daughters and friends, I sound like her when I sing, so we'd be great at karoke together she lives Under the Sea, my favorite place to be.I'd like the Flying Carpet from Aladdin to be one of my sidekicks (easy travel) and Mike Wasowski from "Monsters, Inc." to be my other, for entertainment and conversation. He cracks me up. Epic belches. The most terrifying animated villains are a tie between Malificent from "Sleeping Beauty" and the Evil Queen from "Snow White." One cursed a baby and turned into a dragon, the other tried to cut the heart out of a child.

What is your favorite animated Disney film and why?

Pinocchio and Tarzan are the movies that came to my mind. When I watched Pinocchio, I had only just started learning English, so most of it I don’t really understand, but I happen to read the illustrated kid’s book, it was one of my first English book, so I kind of understood what was going on. Also, just years later I watched A.I, I was preteen then, and had begin to understand movies in English, I guess it was the first film that ever really resonated in me, and it had the Pinocchio reference. Thus, watching A.I allows me to understand Pinocchio in a different depth. I’m not sure if it’s my favourite movie, but with all that being said, I guess I have somewhat of a special affinity towards Pinocchio. However, Tarzan was the movie that I’ve watched over and over. I even have the soundtrack CD and I listened to it over and over too. By the time then, I was somewhat familiar with the story too, but what really resonates with me is the kind of freedom and adventure the character has. Even later when I was in my teen, I still enjoy watching them. Perhaps if I watch it now, I’d still enjoy it as well.So if I have to pick one, I guess I’ll have to say that Tarzan is my favourite.

What is your favorite Disney movie and why?

Lilo and Stitch. It’s not your typical kind of Disney movie. Lilo and Nani are not “princesses.” (I hate all of the princess shit Disney had been promoting for the past 40 years. I don’t see how winning a birth lottery is something girls should aspire to.) They’re minorities, they come from an underprivileged family. Nani’s struggle with supporting the family while taking care of her little sister feels authentic. And the family, which indeed gets better at the end of the movie, doesn’t become super rich. The girls don’t discover some ridiculous treasure or uncover long lost famous/rich parents who solve all their problems. It’s still a broken family of two sisters trying to make a life for themselves. It’s about family and friendship and the movie didn’t make romance or “true love” the theme of the movie. Nani had a boyfriend, but their relationship was never the focus of the movie. There’s no Prince Charming or dashing rogue coming to rescue. And considering it came out back in 2002, it’s pretty refreshing. We have to wait for another 15 years for a minority girl featured in a Disney movie who didn’t end up with some Prince Charming. On top of all that, the movie was gorgeous. It is the last watercolor animation feature film Disney made. The Hawaiian environment is beautifully rendered, with a full panel of watercolor background. They don’t make movies like that anymore. After all, Disney has focused on their 3D Pixar production.
