What Is Your Favorite Book In Skyrim

Do you read the books in Skyrim?

I've read quite a few, typically those with intriguing titles such as Chaurus Pie: A Recipe and A Troll Hunter’s Guide.A lot of them are really funny (such as the previous two; those are great), and it's clear a lot of effort was put into them. Kolb and the Dragon is actually a choose-your-own-adventure storybook, it's pretty good.I personally recommend A Game At Dinner; it’s an Alchemy skillbook that I believe has existed since Morrowind. It tells the story of how Prince Helseth, son of Queen Barenziah and in line for the throne of Morrowind, devised a clever plot to weed out spies from his court. It's suspenseful and full of intrigue, really well written. It can be found in the following locations. Pick it up and give it a read, if you get the chance!Dead Crone Rock, near a lever to open a door.Forsaken Cave, in the lower level (Forsaken Crypt), down the hall below the word wall to the right. Nurelion's Mixture, a quest item from the "The White Phial" quest, is required to access this location.Harmugstahl, behind the locked door opposite the hole in the wall. The book is on the top shelf of the bookcase.Honningbrew Meadery, upstairs on a table behind an adept skill locked door.Windhelm, on a table on the second floor of New Gnisis Cornerclub. And thanks for A2A!

What do books do in Skyrim?

Only certain books will give you skill points. One book will increase the skill in question by a full point. Some books are just there for entertainment, some trigger quests, and some increase skills.

Re-reading a skill-improving book will not give you more skill points, the same as re-reading a math book you've already mastered will not increase your math skills.

What's your favorite book in Skyrim?

the lusty argonian maid books, they are funny and have a double meaning :)

What is your favorite spell in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?

Fury, Frenzy, Mayhem.Getting your enemies to kill each other is the coolest thing in Skyrim. You can depopulate bandit dens, Forsworn Encampments, and Stormcloak or Imperial camps.

Is it illegal to write a book based off Skyrim?

Unless you live in a fascist dictatorship, you can write whatever you want. It's publishing it that's the problem.

You're supposed to get permission from the copyright owners (Bethesda) if you want to publish any writing that uses anything they created (the setting of Skyrim, any of the characters, any creatures or items that are specific to the game). You can get away with not asking permission if you don't try to profit from your writing - that's fanfiction, and millions of people are already doing it. Most copyright owners know that suing their biggest fans doesn't make for good publicity. If you want to publish your writing for money, you need permission, otherwise you risk being sued when Bethesda finds out. It's unlikely that you'll get permission unless you're already a well-known author.

Can you create your own books in Skyrim?

I love collecting books in the game but I thought it would be cool if I could create my own book just for fun. I play skyrim on 360 so if there is any way to author a book and pick a design for the cover that would be awesome

What is the longest book in Skyrim?

I'd probably say the Wolf Queen series. Though its more than one edition, its all just different chapters of the same story, and I'd wager its well over 60 pages long all in all.
