I know theyre color blind... but my dog is OBSESSED with pink stuff. We let him go into a pet store and pick out a toy, and he picked a pink hippo. Hes loves this pink soccor ball we have, and he has this pink stuffed animal that he brings everywhere. He only sleeps on my bed (pink bed set) and he chews on this pink hairbrush. Maybe he just likes the shade of grey? Idk haha

Poached chicken. I make it for them often. Boneless, skinless white meat chicken. Simmer it for 1/2 to 3/4 hour, don’t boil it or it will get tough. Then I cool it down and shred it with two forks.They also LOVE bacon which I give them a bite of whenever I have it. Shrimp is another of their favorites. I give them each one when I make it.

I used to feed my dogs Acana until they went into talks with Purina to buy them out (sorry Purnina lovers I just won’t feed my dogs this brand) and have since switched to NutriSource which is another good quality food. I mix in the kibble with my home made dog stew which is chock full of fresh meats (chicken plus chicken livers and giblets plus beef liver), fish, eggs, brown rice, lentils and dog friendly veggies.

I spent the next three years searching for a food that my dogs would like, that was good for them, and didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. That food was, and is, Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice kibble. I feed it to puppies, adults, and oldsters, and they are all in great shape.

Most Chihuahuas love chicken. Boiled or roasted plain is best. They will eat anything, and many will over eat, becoming quite obese. Do not feed them bones. They tend to have very poor teeth and suffer if they manage to get bits that do not digest easily. The are very sensitive and and do best with a high protein meat based dry dog food. They require such a small portion of food they do best on a dry dog food with good fresh water. Like cats they will often drink fresh running water. I have had two that would turn water bows over if it was not clean and fresh or had a crumb in it. I had one Chi that was a small dainty eater. She could not be coaxed to eat one bite more than she wanted. She also would decide to skip a meal about every ten to fifteen days. It is said to be a common Chi trait. They really expect to be spoiled and will go anywhere not to be left home alone. I feed Natural Balance limited ingredient tiny bites and use bits of chicken as an occasional treat. Nothing is uglier than a spoiled obese little dog. Positive gentle training works best.
