What is your favorite "truck gun?"

What is my favorite “truck gun”? I’m assuming you mean a firearm kept in my semitruck?Unfortunately, I don’t have one. Laws are such that it is impossible for me to legally keep a firearm with me in my truck (not that some other drivers don’t carry, they just have accepted the risk).While many states have reciprocity with other states’ CCW permits, others, such as New York and New Jersey, do not. Getting caught in either of these states with a weapon will get you multiple years in the state penal system. They almost never accept a plea to lesser charges. What this means is that you will become a felon and instantly lose the right to carry. Period.If we ever get to the point of national CCW, I still may not carry on or in my truck, as my employer has a firm “no firearms” policy, regardless of permit.All that aside, if I could carry, I’d have two: a Glock41 Gen4 .45ACP for personal carry and a short-barreled 20gauge shotgun in the truck. The reason for the shotgun is that, if I ever were to need to defend myself in the truck it is likely to be while I’m sleeping. Startled out of a sound sleep, it would be much easier to orient on the threat with a shotgun than trying to get a proper “sight picture”.Thanks for the A2A.

What is your favorite food from a food truck?

There is a food truck in Coffs Harbour NSW (Australia) called “Curried Away”. It’s run by a man from the Punjab called John Arkan and he makes the best Indian curries in Australia.John is also a bit of a character … a few years ago he was on an SBS TV program where a Bollywood movie producer was looking for an Australian Indian to feature in one of his upcoming movies. John auditioned and was in the final cut to be a Bollywood star in India.

The Chuck Wagon, Dublin, IrelandI'm in an awful state, rolling up to work at 7am still feeling the effects of the night before and uncertain if I am still a bit drunk or in the early stage of the hangover from hell.'Jesus Christ you look shocking!' Says my boss. 'Cmon, hop in the car, We are gonna to get you a cure!'.We drive for about 10 minutes out the Swords road. My body's natural response to the twisty bumpy back roads is to break into a cold sweat.We pull up at the side of the road, beside this Blue and White food truck. It's busy with customers queuing eagerly.Are you sure this is a good idea?My boss returns with a couple of these:This my friend is a breakfast bap! Total Heart Attack food.White bread rollSausagesBlack/white puddingBaconFried eggThe calorie count is off the richter scale.'What doesn't kill you, cures you! Get it into you!' commands my boss reassuringly.It was beautiful. Really nice. 10/10.However, its therapeutic effects are shortlived, no sooner are we back in work and I am running to the toilets, trying to hold it down. I am reaquainted with my breakfast bap as I vomit it back up. I definitely drank too much.Needless to say, the Chuck Wagon becomes a favourite fixture in my diet. Especially after a night out.

My favorite song is one that I can’t remember the name of, and it was by some obscure country singer back in the 1970’s about a guy who was down on his luck and got a job making “$62.50 every week, drivin’ a big ol’ semi truck.” Problem was, he had never driven a truck before and his introduction to driving did not go well.“I’ve trucked all over this land” by C.W. McCall is a nice 70’s song about places a trucker has been and what he has done.
