I am in a total wine rut and I am tired of all my old "favorites". What do you drink? (Preferably under $25 a bottle). I'm looking for an everyday wine or I had a bad day and it's only f-ing Tuesday type wine......

i personally love Layer Cake. it is a shiraz and its unbelievable. i also really like Boarding Pass which is also a shiraz. the liquor store i work at has been sold out of Layer Cake since Xmass and were supposed to get more in May but it still hasnt arrived :( so sad. what are your favorite wines? are they expensive or not? Boarding Pass is $14.99 at my store :)

Type or brand. Please say what you like about it! I love chianti. It goes down smoother than others and tastes less bitter. I've only had Chianti and idk if there are other brands? I like to sit outside and people-watch while I sip.

I love red wineI have several favorites, but my tastes may not appeal to you and I don’t consider myself at all a connoisseur, I just like the stuff and I always look for a good deal.MalbecMalbec has fast become my favorite wine. I can’t really describe the flavors very well, but it hits the right notes with me, and I’ve yet to find a Malbec that’s a failure. Some of the notable ones that I get:Rex Goliath. It’s cheap as dirt — Safeway usually has them 2 for $5, but I haven’t been able to find it outside of Safeway (everyone has the merlot and cab sav and the shiraz, but Rex really get’s the Malbec right)Bota box. Boxed wine, cheaper by volume and it lasts longer. Plus they’re all green with the packaging and the wine is top notch. I’m sipping some as I write this.BordeauxBordeaux has all sorts of different flavors. My favorite I found on sale at Wegmans for $10: Chateau Haut Robert. Good stuff.TempranilloAnother one that it’s hard to miss on, though I’ve hit more misses with tempranillo than with malbec. There was one winery in particular that is on the tip of my tongue that we love…I’ll have to ask my wife later.Shiraz/SyrahI’m a fan of Penfolds and Rosemont for Shiraz. Good memories from college.ChiantiI prefer Chianti Classico, and my favorite right now is Ruffino. The price is right and it’s good stuff.MeritageThis is an American style bordeaux, I usually get it at the Virginia wineries near me. Paradise Springs, 8 chains north, Tarrara, pretty much any winery in Virginia makes a good Meritage, even if they have to import the grapes from Chile.

i really like bolla merlot or bardolino (also a red wine, but it's dry) i think you just gave me an idea for a new wine though, i'm going to try your brand and see how i like it :)

Red Wines hundreds ,i like clarets ,light red and old classy bordeaux wines like Macon .or chateneuff du pape,full bodied dark red and in South Africa they have got some exelent wines ,in all the ranges ,red bordeaux ,Claret,Rose,white and smokey wines,there is never a bad year there and the wine industry is very advanced ,big and high quality grape vines imported from france. drinking wine is an adventure so much still to be discovered . many good wine dont leave the wine estates or the village mbecause the amount bottled is too limited to be comercial. generally the older the better and the more expensive White Wines i like Rhine wines ,like Blue Non, very light and fruity, or Blanc de Blanc and in Portugal are some very nice Green wines like Troubador or Lancers in Italy the chiantis are very good in the Americas some Californian wines but the best would be the wine from Chili Shiraz is very comercial but acceptable one must be carefull with french wines ,they export about double than the country officially produces ,so there is some hanky panky going on.
