What Is Your Favorite Zelda Game

What is your favorite Zelda game?

OK, yes. It was my first. But I’ve played them all since, and none of them were ever quite so magical as Ocarina.Even A Link to the Past. Though it did come close.

What is your favorite zelda game?

Majora's Mask is, by far, my favorite. It shows much more depth in both story and character development then Ocarina of Time. The story is much darker giving your quest a much great sense of urgency and you actually care about the background characters as they are all given names and in-depth/interactive stories.

Wind Waker would be second as it features most of the same story elements and (if not better) character development I enjoyed in MM, unfortunately most of the game lacks urgency as you can sail around freely and collecting the tri-force pieces/maps is more then just a little tedious. Most of the characters are memorable, but it feels more like a chore to help them (specifically the picture taking side quest and trading sequence) as well as the mini games being repetitive (the mail game) and sometime down right boring (the slide puzzle)

What is your favorite Zelda game?

Majora's Mask.
Zelda takes a well-executed dive into the macabre.

Favorite Legend of Zelda game?

It's a close tie between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Both have always been my absolute favorite Zelda games.

What is your favorite The Legend of Zelda game, and in that game, what boss fight did you struggle with the most?

My favorite Legend of Zelda game of all time is likely the same as many of my generation. Not only my favorite LoZ game, but in my top five games of all time. The open 3D world, the excellent fighting system, one of the greatest scores in a video game all came together to make an amazing game. I've played this game countless times and I go through it at least once a year. It's that good. The hardest boss for me?Dear Lord in Heaven, this little punk played me like a fool the first time I played this game. After hours of enduring the complicated maze that is the f**king Water Temple, you're gonna splish-splash down there in the 'water' and evade all of my Longshot attempts? You're lucky I need this damn amulet, or else I'd Din's Fire this whole damn place TO THE GROUND.(Much easier these days, but the first time I played OoT, I was so frustrated by the whole place. Freaking Water Temples, ami'right?)I would love to see this game remade in a modern engine, Unreal 4, perhaps. May never happen, but a gamer can dream, right?Enjoy.

What is your favorite Zelda game art style?

I can see the charm of Windwaker. I really can. It’s beautiful for a cell-shaded style. My favourite is still Twilight Princess, though. That game… gosh, that game. It was beautiful. Perfect. Not quite realistic — not realistic enough to enter the uncanny valley or look as if someone tried to make it realistic and didn’t quite hit the target, but realistic enough to have a wonderful effect. It was dark, gloomy, but had some wonderful rural scenery shots. Faron Woods, Ordon. So quaint! Ordon is what OoT’s Kakariko Village should’ve looked like. And the varying scenery! Ordon, Snowpeak, Kakariko, the City in the Sky! Flying through the air from a cannon! The wide shots, the grass, the water… the world which wasn’t quite open-world, but felt almost like it was..! And the Twilight Realm!!

What is your favorite Legend of Zelda game, and why?

I really loved Skyward Sword.Although a lot of people disliked the motion controls and the small over world, I enjoyed it. I loved the concept of the game being the first in the Zelda timeline, and how it was the birth of generations of adventure and Hyrule itself. The fate of the future incarnations of Link, Zelda, and Demise (who reincarnates into Ganondorf), are bound to the events in this game. There was still a lot to explore, even though the surface was practically empty, and there weren’t that many islands in The Sky. Skyloft was filled with tons of treasures, side quests, and many places to explore once you got new items. The game was harder compared to previous Zelda games that utilized classic controls that weren’t one-to-one. Swordplay had to be more precise in Skyward Sword, but the motion controls made me feel a deeper connection to the game, and I felt like I was the hero. I was the one saving the world and forging the beginning of a legend. Also, the impeccable bond between Link and Zelda revolutionized the franchise. No other Zelda game has established such a strong relationship between Link and Zelda. Sure, in The Minish Cap, they were childhood friends, but they were obviously more than just friends in Skyward Sword. Link dives in headfirst to save Zelda, simply because he can’t imagine life without her, and not just because he has to.I liked the story-driven aspects of it too. The emotional cutscenes and music drew me in and made me feel attached to the characters. Zelda games are known for incredible music, but the Skyward Sword themes are immersive and memorable. Some of the songs are even renditions of classic Zelda songs.I could go on and on about this game, but to avoid writing a lengthy essay, I’ll leave on this note: I don’t understand why so many people hate Skyward Sword when it tells us how everything started, and is literally almost like any other Zelda game, except with a different layout.
