What Is Your Goal As A Student

As a student nurse what would be your goal?

hmmm....

Should an IIT be the ultimate goal for a student?

Shorter version:    No.Longer version:    No, life is much much larger than IIT and so should be your goal. Education is a great means to liberate yourself and help you strive upwards to your goal. And IIT is a great tool to have in your arsenal (remember its not the only tool) and definitely not your ultimate goal (Unless you wanted to lead and empower the next generation of people as a faculty of IIT like 'Makarand Apt' had pointed out).So how do you define your ultimate goal ?    It is some thing like ..    (a) How do you see yourself to be when you are 60 or 70 ?    (b) How do you see your life to have lived ? ( See IIT is just a small part of it, )The answer to the above question is highly subjective and depends on each individual, but it falls in to one of the three categories.    1. Community inclined goal.    2. Family inclined goal.    3. Self inclined goal. All the three should have an emphasis on the "How" question above. Example in community inclined gaol - how you see your life being instrumental in bringing a change you wanted in the community/society. A friend of mine has a goal of building a cancer institute, a ambitious goal but he is working towards it.Self inclined goal would be some target in being rich and famous or how should one conduct his life with integrity. The ultimate goal would consume most of your life time to achieve it.There would always multiple path to reach the ultimate goal. So one path fails don't loose heart always try to work on the other.Keep it slightly vague. It will take shape as your understanding of life matures. In some rare genuine cases it may it might be beyond our reach. Still keep your drive going, you would reach something equally great!. What should be the ultimate goal in student life?

Humility. Yes this should be the ultimate goal in a student’s life.Because when a student becomes truly educated and enlightened, this virtue of humility occurs to him automatically. It is a sign of maturity that comes out of education in real sense. Please mark the following statement by Chanakya, the great scholar of ancient India.नमन्ति फलिनो वृक्षा: ,नमन्ति गुणिनो जनाः ।Meaning:The branch of a tree with lot of fruits bends towards earth. Virtuous persons always bow down to earth. When the life of a person is laden with the fruits of education, he bends downwards due to the weight of wisdom earned by him.True education makes one realize how vast the ocean of knowledge is, and how little one has been able to acquire out of it. A student reaching a level of accomplishment, doesn’t become arrogant, and rather realizes that he has much more to explore, much more to learn and much more to understand for which even the entire time span of his life is insufficient. It’s appropriately said in another Sanskrit Sloka,विद्या ददाति विनयंMeaning: True learning gives us humility. The ultimate goal in a student’s life is to reach a state where:He is humble. He is free from the arrogance of being educated. He has his head bowed down before others. So humility is the real indicator of a true student.

What should be the main goal for a high school student to have?

The way I view high school is that it is a relatively sheltered environment for teens to learn, grow, and progress in whichever direction of life they choose. For some that may be obtaining a 4.0 GPA to get into college, for others it may be meeting friends that last a lifetime. For me that is reflection about myself and the world and learning skills that will last me a lifetime and eventually bring me to my life goal of becoming a huge asset to mankind(You’re probably thinking “Jeff is such a naive kid, dreaming about changing the world” but to that I say: If you have stopped dreaming you’ve already failed, and I’ll never stop working towards my goal; I think that’s a pretty good example of drive :) )One issue I see with my answer is that often parents have their own agenda for their children. I personally disagree with the choice of many parents(and especially parents of my culture) that the fate of the child lies in the mind of the parent, but as youth there are certain things in society that we cannot contest. If one cannot convince their parents to allow freedom of choice, one must submit. But please don’t ever allow your parents’ ideas to control your own; they can control your actions but not your thoughts. We always need more independent and thoughtful people in the world and we would hate to lose your free spirit. In summary: do what you think must be done. If that’s not possible, never stop dreaming and thinking.

What are good goals for a high school student to have?

Here are a few things I think are very useful and important things for you to learn during your high school year, before you go to college.Learn how to beat the test. There are tricks you can learn to do better on the tests. Some basic ones, are process of elimination and skipping and coming back to hard questions. While, most people know process of elimination, they only practice it on hard questions. You should get into habit of practicing it on EVERY SINGLE QUESTION, it will help you get more questions right. Learn the strategies, master them and use them on test day. Also, realize that different subjects have different types of tests; each requires different preparation and not all the tricks may apply to every subject.Learn how to take notes. Both in class and out of class. You need to be able to distinguish what is good stuff that you need to know when the teacher is talking and when you're reading the book. If you can do this, studying will be so much easier.Develop the ability to understand what you don't understand and the ability to put it into question form. This is so useful. If you can crack down on what you're not getting and then form questions to fix that. Then you can completely understand all the material by asking the professor a question.Cultivate your ability to manage your time. You can go to the hardest college, and still have time for extracurriculars and a full nights sleep. It's all about managing your time effectively and self-control. Make a habit of studying everyday and not cramming. How can you go about doing this? My advice is to focus on one thing at a time and think about how you can get better at that thing. You could also probably find some more specific information about improving each of these, on Quora, the Internet, your school counselor. Also, something that could help is breaking down each of these further and focusing on one aspect at a time.

What are some career goals for high school students?

(Disclaimer: I write this post assuming that you plan to go to college after high school, and you are looking for goals to set for yourself.)I believe that I cannot properly define what your high school career goals should be, as that is something only you can do. You need to assess where you want to be in life after college, to tailor a plan for high school. After all, your high school is a stepping stone to college, and what you do after that is up to you. I can offer you some general advice though. Now, it is very likely that your post-high school goals will change several times, so it is *very* *important *that you make the best out of high school. Do not slack off during your early years, if say, you do not plan to apply to an Ivy League school. You do not know if you will change your mind! Let one of your goals be maximizing your time in high school, by getting good grades, and taking advantage of as many extracurriculars as possible! However, do not overwhelm yourself with your studies - you do not want to miss out on one of the most important periods of your life for personal growth! Do something that you would not ordinarily do, by taking odd jobs, or volunteering. By diversifying your experiences, you will develop that internal compass of yours that points to where you want to be post-HS.And the last piece of advice: Make smart choices and always dream big! Do not let your goals be constrained by our notions of what is “realistic”! If you want to be a great writer, go for it! If you want to be a great artist, go for it as well! Find a discipline that you like, develop your skills in it, and let that passion be the vehicle that takes you to where to want to end up in life.I hope I answered your question!-Kyle S.

How can you stay focused to achieve your goals as a student?

Most education boards have a syllabus and structure that stresses the students. If the teacher is also focused on only teaching the syllabus, then things go worse. The students fail to see the practical benefits of learning something that will be useful either for them or the society because it is not presented in an interesting method. If you have an aim from very young age, that itself will make you successful and focused , if you are honest about your ambitions and ready to work hard to achieve it.Do not wait for somebody to teach you, try to learn by yourself. Write down important points as you learn in a notebook . You may find something hard to learn, it is natural. Refer to the particular topic repeatedly and you will be able to understand bit by bit and then the whole thing. Patience is very important. Nothing is very difficult to learn if you have patience. Relax your mind. Yoga and Meditation will help you to increase concentration and memory. Try to connect the subject you are studying to the outside world. Have good contacts with experienced people and learn from them. Observe and analyse . Have good confidence and a positive attitude.
