Blocked website in Saudi Arabia?
Proxies are really not very good at all and they get blocked all the time as you probably know. Plus they have issues with many web site features that make them useless. Many sites wont work with a proxy. The number of proxies run by hackers is also growing daily and you risk your computer and more using one that claims to be anonymous. Plus they are easy to break and leak information. The government censors could read your IP addresses and know exactly what sites you are going to when using a proxy. You think you are safe but you are not. The better approach is the Personal VPN which unblocks everything, encrypts your entire connection for security, and doesn't get blocked daily. VPN's like this are what corporations use to guard their private data when employees are in other countries and connect to the home network. My friend in Riyadh uses http://www.surfbouncer.com. Yes, it costs money, but it works all the time and is great with video.They have used it for over a year without a single problem.
Japanese Internment Camp Research help, please??
Hello, I may need alittle help on a research project on Japanese Internment Camps. I just need some good research sites where I can find some good info on this topic that is easy to read. Unfortunately, I also have to make a bibliography for the websites I researched at. It has to contain: Name of website. Editor/Author. Date edited. Name of Organization. Date of access. Web address. I would really appreciate your help. Because I really don't know why the hell my ENGLISH II teacher has to give us a project like this that involves difficult research... So remember, I need some good websites on research on Japanese Interment Camps that contained the information for the bibliography example I showed above. *If it doesn't have anything unimportant on it like, Date of access or Editor/Author, its ok ^_^ THANKS:)
West Point for Prior Enlisted?
Hello All, I am an enlisted female soldier currently deployed in Afghanistan. I am a Private First Class and a 68W. I recently received an email from a Major at West Point urging me to apply for the school because of my ASVAB (88) and GT (121) scores, plus I meet all of the requirements of admission. My commanders out here see the kind of intelligence I have and the much needed drive to pursue and persevere through the courses at West Point. I have a few issues that I worry will keep me from being accepted even into the Preparatory School there. When I was in High School I was a very good student, up until I started my Junior year I had a 3.7 GPA. I left High School at 16 and did a PSEO program in which I went to college full time until I graduated high school. During the first 3 semesters of college I had a lot of personal and family issues that required my attention more than my school work did, unfortunately this resulted in my grades dropping to B's and C's and unfortunately failing a class or two due to neglectful care of my classwork and attendance. By my final semester there I was back to receiving A's and B's once my family and personal issued had been cleared. I joined the Army once I turned 18 and have continued to hasten my career and opportunities. When I was 17, in the midst of all my issues, I attempted suicide and was involuntarily hospitalized. Since then I have cleaned up my life, thanks in particular to my dream of being in the Army and achieving my goals of becoming a successful deployed combat medic. My commanders (both West Point Graduates) have seen my capabilities for schooling and leadership, they are in the process of writing strong recommendations for me to send to the school in addition to my applications. School was always my niche (it was always easy when I wasn't distracted with my own personal problems which do not exist anymore, nor will any future ones affect me like they had when I was younger) and I know I could make easy work of any class there. Will any of these factors, my period of less than satisfactory grades and my past mental health issues completely rule me out from an acceptance to West Point, Preparatory school or Academy? I am using shared hosting and my I/O usage is full after every minute. What is this I/O usage in cPanel? How can I reduce it?
Without knowing the 5 websites in question I would make this suggestion for you to consider as a possibility for the cause of your problem. WordPress sites are prone to brute force attacks. I have seen some sites get hammered with massive quantities of them for hours at a time. If you have very strong passwords it is unlikely you will be breached however, all of these incoming requests will create a load that you don't want. For starters, please install WordFence security and set it up properly so that it will alert you of brute force attacks. Do this on all 5 sites so you can see if the problem is on one, two, or even all sites. Lock the site down hard with WordFence so that they are locked out after 2 failed attempts and lock them out for at least one hour. Now my suspicion is you will likely find out 1 or more of your sites is getting the tar beat out of it with relentless brute force attacks and here is how I would ask you to put a fast stop to that. In your root folder (probably called public_html)please add this code to your .htaccess file... REPLACE the 00.00.00.000 with YOUR IP address. Are pit bulls safe around babies?

I have seen other posts about the safety of pit bulls, but this news story certainly seems to disprove what their supporters say. Some references to unbiased web sites would help me understand.
