Should I look for another job?

One of the greatest lessons I learned mid-career, was that there's nothing more important than my own well-being in a job context. This realization has so many facets, but I will focus on only two of them that may be relevant to you too:Life is short, and you only have one life. It's therefore almost unbelievable to imagine spending most of your life being unhappy in a job, especially when there are other options open to youIf there's nothing more important than your own well-being, then what are you doing to ensure that this is the case, even if it means addressing issues you're experiencing in your current job instead of moving to anotherIn my case, I looked at my current job, and chose to address my concerns directly with my manager, indicating how much potential I saw in my role, and how I could contribute to the medium-term success of the department. The results were dramatic in my case, and the role ultimately turned out to be one of the best of my career, rather than being one of the most frustrating, with that frustration leading to unbelievable amounts of stress. In your case, in my opinion, it seems like you have a poor leader in a manager according to your description, so I would imagine you would have little choice but to consider alternatives, assuming that you value your own well-being as much as I do mine.

Should I look for another job, or what?

You need a vacation to get over the routine stuff. Human need a break now and then to refresh the minds. If you think your job is monotonous you need to find a way to change your working style. Every job or workplace has its own limitation it's you who will make it loving and charming for yourself.Travelling helps a person with learning, helps to refresh and have a different outlook to work, people, life.Relax and go out to some place, carry a nice book with you. When you are back you will notice you love your job and your life.

I got a 92 on my ASVAB, what jobs should I look at?

With those scores your are mentally qualified for pretty much anything.
Some jobs with high security clearance requirements also state that there be no legal problems in your past. I'll assume you've stayed out of trouble.

Pick what you want. It's your life. Don't just focus on basic training. After basic, you still have 3 yrs and 10 months of your contract left. Make sure you get something that you'll enjoy.

As far as going into law enforcement: You'll learn about uniforms, courtesy, proper reporting, weapons handling, and physical fitness. And you'll get some veteran's preference points depending on what state you're in. You'll learn all the "cop" stuff at the academy. Don't focus on being an MP, military police and civilian police are completely different.

One thing: Once you pick a job, it's yours unless you violate the agreement you sign. (Drugs, legal problems prior to shipping, etc.) But this cuts both ways. The military only needs so many people in each job. If you wait too long and some other guy takes the job, then it's his. They won't violate their contract with him just because you were taking your time.

Good luck on your decision.

I completed a BA. What job should I look for?

Well it depends upon your area of interest.Since you are an Arts student, I assume you would be having a fair knowledge of History , political and literature. You can prepare for Government Jobs like UPSC, SSC, Bank PO etc. Also you can go for higher studies like MA or B.ED and give NET exam to become teacher. If you are not much interested in government jobs then I would suggest you to go for some good computer courses.

What job should I look for with a biology degree?

I disagree that a biology degree isn't one of the 'better degrees'!!! There's lots you can do with one, and biology is a special science because it incorporates so much from so many diverse fields -- if you study biology, you're likely to learn a little physics, a lot of chemistry, statistics...and you're not pigeonholed into slaving in a lab if you don't want to do that.

There are a lot of education outreach opportunities available to biology majors -- working outside in a forest preserve, natural park, science museum, educating the public or maintaining those sites.

There are of course tons of lab jobs, but you're not keen on doing research forever -- what about a crime lab? I know a lot of people who have gotten jobs as lab technicians in forensics labs. It's still lab work, but it's a little different from a traditional research setting, and it's real cool.

A lot of my bio-major friends from school went to work for an agricultural company when they graduated, out in the cornfields of the midwest, and they like their jobs a lot -- they work as lab techs, and raise insects and larva for studies on agricultural pests. It involves a nice balance of lab work and outside fieldwork (they have to release the insects on crops and collect data on them).

A Master's degree isn't a bad idea -- it can help you narrow down what you like and what you don't like doing, and it's WAY more fun and liberating than an undergrad degree. You might have the opportunity to be a teaching assistant while you get your grad degree, and so you could try your hand at that too while you're there, and see if you like it.

To speak from my own personal experience: I work as an editor at a science journal, and my training is in biology. I chose to get a Master's -- I was a little lost after my Bachelor's, and just knew that I loved biology and loved being in school. I learned more in my 2-year Master's degree than in my 4-year undergraduate degree, and it was like a job (except with abysmal pay), and all the skills I needed to get the job I have now, I think I acquired in those two years.

That's just my 2-cents, but good luck to you!!!!

I like fixing things. What jobs should i look into?

I feel like I'm moderately good at fixing random things like, Computer problems, toys, a cash register at my job, and I feel like I would be good at working with my hands (although I haven't had much experience).

I'd rather not state my age, but I'm still in high school (Home-schooled by the way). I also love video games. My neighbor always said, "You're a tall, left-handed guy with a pulse, you're worth millions!" He was referring to me being a baseball pitcher, but I never really had an interest in it.

I currently work at a movie theater, and have been for about... Almost 2 years now,
I am trying to learn how to speak Japanese, and I like sketching every once in a while.

Thanks for taking the time to read this ;)

P.S. Jesus RULES!

Should I look for a job outside my company?

May be, I would suggest what is wrong in constantly looking for new and great opportunity and pushing yourself beyond the limit. I'm neither suggesting to leave your job, try to make it done, but even it is done, what is problem in finding other opportunities...
