What Jobs Would Be Good For Stupid Quiet Shy People

How to deal with people who think I'm stupid?

I know the feeling. People always talk to me like I'm dumb and I've been on the Dean's list and Honor's society every semester I've been in College.

The people who call me dumb are stupid themselves and only put me down to make themselves feel better about their sad lives.

I suspect the same is happening to you. You are smart, but people put you down because they see you as weak. You said you have low confidence. Unfortunately, some people are fiends and they leech off of people with low confidence by putting them down to make themselves feel good. You are basically being bullied.

There is only one way to deal with a bully, and that's to stand up to them. Show them that you won't tolerate being treated as less than equal. That's what I did. I stuck up for myself, and fired back. Just because I'm quiet and shy, doesn't mean people can walk all over me. You can be strong and have a backbone too. Your confidence will soar once you realize that you're a strong person by sticking up for yourself.

What jobs would be good for stupid, quiet, shy people?

I don't mean I'm 'school' stupid. I'm just 'socially/street' stupid. I feel really good and like I can understand anything from books, computers, social studies, math, science.im 18, I always got A's on test without studying. It's just that I get really really nervous around people. I just got a job at a factory, and it makes me feel really stupid and slow. I hate it so much. I'd rather do something by myself. The only jobs I can think of are some to do with programming, and massage therapist, which interests me the most. Thank you.

What are the Pros and Cons of quiet people?

Advantage - they are usually more careful about what they say, less disturbance because they are quiet, usually don't make waves or put up a fight.

Disadvantages - some people find them boring, or hard to connect with in interpersonal interactions, because they don't say much people will assume things about them that may or may not be true, you never really know what they're thinking

The best jobs are those that allow them to work independently, maybe analytical jobs if they tend to be serious. Most people who are quiet or shy have been that way for all their lives. It is also possible that some type of traumatic event changed their disposition and made them more fearful or serious. Or perhaps even the result of unhealthy or emotionally stifling parenting.

A good job for a shy 16 year old?

Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.

I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.

Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.

What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.

Can a quiet and shy person be a good police officer?

If you are serious.......

Police work is a constant series of interpersonal interactions, whether you are working in patrol or investigations or even the department evidence custodian. No one will get through the pre-emplyment interview process if they can't verbally communicate clearly, intelligently and confidently. From the day you have to testify for the first time in traffic Court, you will constantly be expected to speak in public. In my days in Homicide, I worked on a couple complex, high profile cases that required me to spend two days on the witness stand. I have nearly 40 years on the job, and a person who is as shy as you describe yourself cannot make it in police work. Don't even waste your time.
