i just bought this cable adapter "VGA to TV S-Video 3 RCA Jack Composite AV Cable NEW NG" so i can hook up my n64 to play on my computer monitor. I cant get it to work. Can I play my PS4 on a computer monitor? If so what are some good monitors around 24-32 inch?

I recently bought this monitor so I could upgrade to 1440p. It has a list price of about $400 but frequently goes on sale. I got mine for $80 off two months ago.ASUS PB258Q Black 25" 5ms WQHD Frameless HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor AH-IPS 350 cd/m2, 2560 x 1440, 100,000,000:1 Built-in Speakers One thing to keep in mind when buying a monitor, compared to a television, is the common lack of internal speakers. Most desktop users either have desk speakers or headphones, so manufacturers frequently skip the speakers to reduce the price. For the PS4, you need speakers. The monitor I got, it has internal speakers. And HDMI/VGA/Display Port/DVI connections, with cables all included.Edit:Immediately after posting this, I checked the lately email from newegg and found this wonderful looking monitor:ASUS VE278H Black 27" 2ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASVR 50000000:1 (1200:1) Built-in Speakers 27" 1080p 2ms response time, internal speakers, and discounted from $300 to $170. Only has HDMI and VGA, but for a discount of $130... that's alright.

Can n64 games play on an HD VGA Monitor?

I want to buy an n64 and connect it to my LG computer monitor as I do not have a TV. I would have to buy an adapter so that the RCA cables could go in my monitor's VGA female port. But, will the old n64 games be able to play through VGA? I read that some gamecube games cannot be played over VGA unless they have "progressive scan." If some gamecube games won't play, does that mean most n64 games won't be able to play either? The bottom line is, I would like to get an n64 but I won't get it if the system can connect to the monitor but the games won't. Does anyone have any knowledge on this?

Retrocomputing: What adapters do I need to connect an Amiga 1200 to a Sony GVM-1311Q monitor?

You want a DB-9 (aka DE-9) to HD-15 (aka DE-15) adapter, in the gender that helps you most. You might want DB9F/HD15M, VGA Adaptor,Molded.  The pre-HD-15 connectors were prone to variation, but the Sony pinout was pretty common.  If you need the cable, get DB9 CGA / EGA To HD15 Pin Adapter Cable. Check the pinout to be sure, or ask the seller.

Can I use an HDMI converter to connect PS4 to laptop to play games on laptop screen?

If you're asking if you can connect your PS4 to a salvaged laptop LCD with an adapter, the short answer is no.  The long answer is you can do it, but at the very least you'll need an inverter (if it's a conventional LCD with a CCFL backlight, and not an LED backlight) and power supply to operate the backlight of the screen and an HDMI to LVDS converter (an active converter, not just a passive adapter or cable).  Assuming you have the laptop screen already, you're still going to spend an amount rapidly approaching the cost of a small LCD television with an HDMI input (around $70-100 in parts, and it won't be in any kind of case or on a stand).   Of course, LVDS is one of the most common interfaces for LCD panels, but it's not the only one out there.  You'd have to know which interface your panel has, and have a pinout for it if it uses a non-standard connector. If you're asking about using the screen on your laptop as a monitor, then again, the short answer is no, but the long answer is yes.  You'd need a USB-based HDMI video capture device to connect to your computer.  These are the same interfaces people use on Livestream, Ustream, and Twitch.  Common vendors are Hauppauge, Blackmagic, AverMedia, and Roxio.  Again, you're looking and spending some money here.  While the lower cost devices can be had for around $50-70, the better quality devices run $150-200 or more.  They also tend to be laggy unless you have a pretty powerful machine (which is why they work pretty well for gamers that like to stream). Not sure where you are, but here in the US, you can get a low-end 19" LCD TV for around $100 local retail with an HDMI input (BestBuy has a two Insignia models on sale right now for $90).  That would be larger than almost every laptop screen out there (except perhaps the old Dell XPS M2030, which was the size of a large briefcase and had a 20.3" screen).

Can I play two different pc games at once on dual monitors with one graphics card?

Given that Windows will only let you focus on one window or full screen application at a time no. Whichever window is focused is the one that accepts whatever inputs you make on a controller or keyboard or mouse. I think that really is the only thing stopping it from being possible.

How to play Nintendo DS games through the Tv?

As far as I know, there is absolutely NO way to play 3DS games on a TV/monitor. DS can technically be played on a computer through an emulator, but those are illegal to download in most situations. And if you have a GameCube, they sold an accessory called GameBoy Player that plays GBA and original GameBoy games on your GameCube. I hope this helps. I'll update this if I can find anything.

How can I use a PC monitor to play PS4?

Op, next time please put all the details in before you post the question, or else early birds like me will look like fools.Anyway, to answer the complete question:have you made sure the cables are seated(connected) properly?Have you had any problems with either the ps4 or monitor before? Are you sure your monitor is set to the correct input mode? Like a tv, monitors also usually have more than one connector, make sure it’s set to “vga input/mode” or whatever, that’s the problem most of the time. That’s all I can think of currently, make sure to try everything I listed and giving me the details I requested, that would be helpful :/

Is there a way to hook up the Sega Genesis 16-bit to your computer monitor?

It can be done since the Genesis does in fact put out RGB signal. You just need to properly convert the cabling over from the Genesis 8 pin DIN connector output to a 15 pin VGA connector to go to your monitor. This basically entails custom making your own cable which isn't hard but you need to know how to do it. The guy in this video very boringly describes what he did to make his own and even shows you what pins do what: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhZYTjd3A...
It's pretty thorough.
