What Kind Of Books Does He Like

What kind of books do you like?

Murder and mystery have a beautiful aurora to them. Yet I must admit, tragedy is the best, but not the ones that are simply sad and alright. I love the ones that when I begin to understand the hapless character and sad episodes of his or her life, I begin to feel sad myself and wishing I could help, forgetting it's a book at all. Plently of detail, a well-defined storyline, and detailed characters. The more details, the more you become enthralled in a book and begin to feel familiar with them. Unexpected twists are a work of art as well. Romance I enjoy as well, but again, the tragic romance, the one that doesn't end with a predictable happy ending. Mushy, annoyingly happy endings are despisable in my point of view. They make you long for whatyou don't have. Sad stories tend to make people appreciate their own lives even more.

What kind of books does Holden Caulfield like?

"My favorite author is my brother D.B"
"...The Secret Goldfish. It was about this little kid that wouldn't let anybody look at his goldfish because he'd bought it with his own money. It killed me."
This shows Holden's immaturity as he finds this children's book incredibly funny. It's a simple, straightforward story which teaches children a moral: not to be selfish, I presume. As we know, Holden prefers children and childhood to the adult world, so this is why he likes the book.

"My next favorite is Ring Lardner"
"this one story about a traffic cop that falls in love with this very cute girl that's always speeding. Only, he's married, the cop, so be can't marry her or anything. Then this girl gets killed, because she's always speeding. That story just about killed me. What I like best is a book that's at least funny once in a while."

Again, Holden tells us he prefers humour in a book. We can see that this story is also quite childish and unrealistic and this shows us that Holden is still young at heart and not an adult.

However, Holden does say, "I read a lot of classical books...and I like them... but they don't knock me out too much". This shows us he can deal with tougher material and can enjoy one or two things along the way, but if it were a choice, he'd always go with a book that would "knock" him out e.g. The Secret Goldfish.
This applies to how he lives his life, also. Holden can survive in the adult world and there are aspects he likes (dating, looking after Phoebe etc) but if it were a choice, he'd choose childhood as it's simple, innocent and fun.

NARUTO: Why does Jiraiya like to create books? And what kind of books does he like to create?

The Great Toad Sage made a prophecy concerning young Jiraiya: that he would someday choose whether one of his students saved or destroyed the world. Jiraiya wanted to spread the idea of peace, and tries to do so by writing novels and taking in students. (later on he write erotic ones because he is a perv)

The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi was Jiraiya's first book, written while training the Ame Orphans. The main character, Naruto, never gives up and vows to break the "curse" that was mentioned in the story. The mentioned "curse" represents the 'vicious cycles' of war, conflict and hatred that occupies the ninja world that Nagato once spoke to Jiraiya about.Because of this, the book is dedicated to Nagato.

Outside of naruto series by kishimoto, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru, as well as their summon animals toad slug snake are taken from a japanese folktale "The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya ".

What kind of books do you like to read? What are your favorite series?

I really like biographies, historical fiction, mysteries, fantasy, and science fiction. I also like a lot of old books that usually require me having to look up a new big word every five seconds. On a side note, look what I bought today!

What kind of genre and style of books does Paulo Coelho write?

Well, if you are hunting for them in Barnes and Nobles or Borders, check out the Spirituality shelf. Occasionally, the big book stores put his works in general fiction, too. I've only read The Alchemist so I can't really have a favorite Coelho book.
