Native English speakers! Could you help me with my poor English?

A long time ago, I visited her house in order to meet her, When she answered the door, I said "Hello", but she did not say anything to me.
Her mom (my aunt) took her by the arm and said to her "say hello to Ikuyo" she responded "Do not touch me! You are sooo disgusting" then she just went to her room. Her mom said to me "She is really busy and gets very stressed, it's okay, I can understand how she feels. I wonder what kind of stress an unemployed person would be under.
.
The younger brother of my dad's side love her, so you know why we cannot get along with them.

My mother's family are very nice people. I like them a lot and they like me as well.

My mom's brother worked at Honda after he graduated from junior high school. He recently retired from that company after working there for about 50 years! They live in the middle of area in Japan. Tokyo people get the largest salaries in Japan, and then those areas, because Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Yamaha...etc are all in those areas.
You also mentioned GM, Ford and Chrysler, Toyota is also plagued by an operating deficit. Toyota said "if wel lose 75% of our sales, the deficit will balloon to 10,000,000,000 dollars" That is amazing!

Do people agree with a plan for the car companies to get money from the government?
It would be VERY big trouble if they go bankrupt.

It was pretty to hear arara from you ^^ you seem to be a woman (women say arara, men do not say it)
You looked silly in that pictures? we need to be silly, sometimes ^^

Please do not worry, you are a nice person. You seem to be a little bit of a worrier.. If someone does not mail you, it is not always true that you said something stupid. I have also had the same experience that my penpals stop mailing me. Just let them do what they want to do, maybe they were fed up with me, or found out there was not the same interests and attraction between us.

I have heard of bleach, but I have never read it.
It is cool that you also know and like to see pics of cosplay ^^ Yes, I like the Japanese get dressed up in cosplay stuff.

Do you like video games? I used to play them a lot when I was younger. I was into the FF series.

Which countries have you ever been to?

You once told me that you have not found what occupation you should choose to work. Have you found one?

Native english speaker please help!?

1 It is better to fail in originality than to succed in imitation. he who has never failed somewhere, that man cannot be great.

Means that it's better to come up with your own ideas, even if they're failures, instead of just copying someone else's ideas.

2 a penny saved is a penny earned.

To save money is exactly the same as earning money. At the end of the day you have the money.

3 god help those who help themselves.

Don't just sit around and wait for help. You have to take steps to get help yourself.

4 nothing is certain except death and taxes.

There are no guarantees in life, except that everyone pays taxes and everyone dies.

5 works with obvious meaning, cease to be art.

Part of creating art is to add your own interpretation of what the piece actually means.

6 to be great is to be misunderstood.

Greatness implies that you are on a "different level" than most people. Therefore those people tend to misunderstand your greatness. (This one's hard to explain!)

Native English speakers, could you please help me with this issue?

I'd never use the word "striking" to describe news. "striking" describes someone's appearance in a favorable way (in the US).

News could be unbelievable, incredible, fantastic, tragic, uplifting, surprising, stunning, but striking sounds a little off to me. Maybe they say it in Britain, but not here in the US. It would be helpful if you'd specify which "version" of English you want to speak. Even though the grammar is 99.999% the same, we don't always use words in exactly the same way.

Native English speakers, could you please help me with these issues?

1. Take into consideration the following sentence:

"With a penchant for shirt-dresses, vivid hues and a knack for mixing both local and global designers, she's amassed a following of loyal style fans."

Would the sentence still mean in the same with these changes:

"With a TENDENCY for shirt-dresses, vivid hues and a knack for mixing both local and global designers, she's ACHIEVED a following of loyal style fans."

2. In case both sentences above mean the same, is any of those terms more formal than the other? (If so, which?)
