What Kind Of Jobs Can I Get At 15

What kind of job can I get as a 15-16 year old?

Really any job that doesn’t pay. Most companies would hire anybody for free. You will get volunteer hours. I’m 14 and last year I had an internship at the Sprint Accelerator. I helped 10 companies present at a private shark tank esque event and got 10 business cards. So really, work hard enough and you can everything that doesn’t require specialized work like engineers or other STEAM type jobs.

What kind of jobs can a 15 year old get?

What kinds of jobs can a 14-15 year old get?

There are a few jobs out there that they may be able to participate in - try churches or the businesses of family & friends). However, I would advise that you ask the teen what interests them and challenge them to “make” their own job. Start building business know-how in them early - even if it’s a service like cutting grass or baby sitting. Owning your own business and learning some of the hard lessons of entrepreneurship early is infinitely valuable.

What kind of jobs will hire a 15 year old?

she can work in Carl's jr .

What kind of job i can make between 15K and 20K a year?

Your best bet for moving out will be a roommate.

Even if your rent is 600 per month... you still have to pay utilities, food, car expenses. And that's pretty tough to do when 60% of your income goes to rent.

If you move in with someone....now you are paying 1/2 rent for a two bedroom place - so you may only pay 400 a month in rent plus 1/2 utilities etc.

If all you have is a high school diploma...your long term job prospects are not good.

I know it's a dangerous time we live in....but it would probably be worth your while to talk to a military recruiter. If you join the military...you can live in base housing (not the greatest....but free) you get a paycheck, and really good health benefits. And in 20 years you get military retirement while your still young enough to work in the civilian world. If you decide not to do 20 years....you get some good experience that may help you get jobs in the civilian world. And if you decide to go to college...you can get money from the government to pay for it. And the military is offering some pretty nice signing bonuses now.

Maybe at 19...you're content to scrap by at 20K a year. But with only a high school diploma and no other skills....do you want to be 45 and trying to support a family on 20K a year? Probably not.

So...you really need to think long term about what your next step is.

Good Luck to you.

What kind of jobs are good for 13,14,15 year olds?

A lot of grocery stores hire 14-15 year olds as cashiers or baggers, Mcdonald's minimum age to work their is 14, but they mostly hire 16+, it's pretty difficult to get a job as a 14 or 15 year old, unless you know someone who can get one for you . Most stores/restaurants only hire 16+.

The child labor laws in most states is that people who are 14-15 can only work for 3 hours on school days, or 8 hours on weekends, but no more than 16 hours per week.

What kind of job can a 15 year old get?

Ok, so here's whats going on. My parents are divorced so my mom gets child support from my dead beat dad. Her job doesn't pay near enough so we rely a lot on that child support. Well, now my dad is quitting his job, so we either won't be getting as much or any at all. Which I think it's weird because he is always complaining that he doesn't have any money even though between him and his wife they make A LOT of money. Him alone, makes a whole lot more than what my mom makes. So, I decided (on my own) that I would get a job to help out. I know it won't be a big paycheck since I'm young but I want to do everything that I can to help.

What kind of jobs can a 15 year old work as? What are the pros and cons of this? What sort of laws are there about teenage employees?

15 year olds work in a variety of ways. First, many work in the underground economy and ignore the laws intended to protect them from themselves. In the slums you can find a 15 year old who is for hire to clean a plugged toilet or replace a broken window or paint or whatever.Second, it should be recognized that 15 year olds are heavily skewed to Hispanics. They work beside their old friends and family in whatever occupation their older friends work. That is true of everyone, but it is skewed Hispanic.Third, the internet has made is very possible for smart kids to create and conduct internet businersses.Fourth, Shark Tank has highlighted youth entrepeneurs. For every youth (or adult) who makes it to Shark Tank there are unknown number of youth who start a business which is a good business, but lacks the potential to expand to Shark Tank levels. In 2019 do we really need laws to protect 15 year olds? Where is there an example of a 15 year old who is working underground and ignoring the existing laws and is worse off than the alternatives?(Full disclosure. In the past I have hired teens, especially for apartment building repair and construction work. I probably violated many teen protection laws. So what?)

What kind of jobs/summer jobs are good for a 12-15 year old?

Lots of good ideas... but unfortunately, you can't be a bagger like Jake suggested because you have to legally be 16 to do that job. Paper route, baby or pet sitting... a lot of odd job type of thing is open to you, but most jobs you can't legally do until 16.

You might try to contact your local school district office; some of them have programs you can try to get into for the summer that you do school work and labor for and get paid for it in cash, and also high school credits. (That's something I did in high school, and actually got a job working at a school doing craft projects after school with kids, and a job at the Red Cross, through that program).
